If I were the manager of a branch of HMV and were tasked by head office with making my own sign to advertise some new offers I'd probably do it myself rather than ask a six year old child to do it, but all credit to the manager of the Bolton branch for thinking outside the box...

Heat added as it's a good price for anyone who really wants one but hasn't yet got one.

Purchase it using your credit card.

I think every store has these flip chart things. The colchester one certainly has. Hot deal nonetheless

You won't have any protection. Needs to be over £100

Hot for now. Expect these to get a lot cheaper in a few months when the new hardware is announced and then released shortly afterwards.

Better to get the best buy deal for an extra £10 and gain 2 games and accessories.

What do you mean by this? The new hardware is set to be revealed at this years E3, sure, but it's been confirmed that it wont be shipped until at least spring of next year. Unless you still see that as being released shortly after its announcement, I guess?

This was also available in the Bradford store however it is the original Wii with Wii Sports only - not the newer pack which includes Mario Kart.

There was talk that first shipments would be available in october from foxconn so it coud be released in for the christmas season somewhere. Most likely Japan but a strong possibility of the USA. The wii 2 has been kept back due to the success of the original wii which is hugely profitable due to the dated technology inside. So you never know perhaps europe could get it first if its been kept back, maybe all the translations for the operating instructions and etc have been done already.

When Nintendo confirmed their new consoles existence they also said they hadn't included it in their sales projections for the first quarter of 2012, they later clarified that it would not be coming inside their current financial year. They are a publicaly traded company so they can't lie about their financials (massage them a bit yes, but not lie).

I don't think thats conclusive proof they won't launch before christmas. I think half a year of production before launching is excessive if they don't launch until April 2012. I think they will get some stock out before christmas somewhere at the very least but we could also see a near full launch before christmas as a remote possibility. Also if they'd put in their financial sales projections that they expect a large amount of consoles to be sold just before christmas of a new model it sort of gives the game away really and we'd all know as its public information.

Nintendo lie all the time as well. No way are 3DS cartridges 2GB in size as claimed at least the games launched so far. Some of the games look only a tiny fraction of that and use heavy compression too with longish loading times. Ocarina of Time on the N64 was 32 megabytes and the 3DS version is unlikely to be more than 128 megabytes in size and thats being super generous. Cave story was about 2meg on the psp and can't see how it becomes 1000x bigger on the 3DS with lower resolution graphics.
