Stuck as to whether go with a Wii , an XBOX360, PS3 or to stick with the PC. The Wii looks really good fun, just worried it will be a bit of a novelty and whether will get bored quickly of it.
I would advise going with the PS3, it combines the best of both worlds.

Playability, they are very fun to play especially in groups. don't know about longevity but I think the bowling alone on wi sports would keep me going for months, especially when the lads come round for tournaments.
No it aint as powerfull as a 360 or PS3 but it never was ment to be. It was ment to be fun and easy to play, which it is.

In actual fact the Megadrive was priced at £190 at release. & comparing the graphics to the megadrive is a bit stupid. Sure they may not be HD, or "next gen", but the fact of the matter is that it's cheap, and a lot of fun to get into, especially if you're having mates round.
Imo it's much more fun to have a game on the Wii with people than it would be with the 360 or PS3.
if you want a dedicated games machine.... go for the ps3 i say.
If you want fun and laughs and to be entertained with family and friends for sociable get togethers then... go for wii i say.
The graphics aren't amazing on the Wii and some of the first released games are poor and rushed in development or ported straight from the gamecube I'm told.
I've purchased the Wii for a laugh indoors while we have this perios of rain. There is also the Wii zapper gun out soon with a new resident evil game that interests me which is a point and shoot game. I'm also after madden 08.
In my opinion Nintendo seem to have always aimed at the younger market, japanese styling and fun games.
Go elsewhere if your after serious mature gaming
