The payment process was a bit of a problem as I had to get my credit card authorised before they would accept payment. It wouldn't work online so I had to call the credit card company at 11.30pm yesterday but it was sorted out quite easily. There are only a few credit card companies that are offering this service so a lot of people might have payment problems with shopto.net.

I have no previous experience with shopto.net so hope this is ok.

Jesus what is such a big fuss of getting these NOW! There are not that many good games for them just yet and the people who wait a couple of months or so will probably be able to buy them cheaper. Whoever pays the premium and buy now are MUGS. This Wii hysteria is getting on my tits.

If you read my post I talked about the Wii hysteria and how people are going crazy just because they want one NOW. I like the Wii played with it a few times but I aint going out my way and pay a PREMIUM which it is £179 is the premium price, when in a few months time they will inevitably lower their price.

I bet you were saying the same last Xmas :-D
This site is all about good offers at a particular time. These are still going for at least £220 on E Bay so this is a good price (although no longer available) so the OP should be thanked for the post and not have the thread turned into a moan fest by know-it-alls who think they can predict where Wii prices are going to go. It looks like they misjudged the price in relation to other consoles and i doubt it will drop below £179 in the forseeable future.

I doubt it my friend. The most you can probably expect is something similar to the DS' situation where the price is retained but they bundle a cheap game with it, alternating to a first party game depending on the shops current promotion. They have no need to drop the price within the next couple of months.

Please dont use these forums if you are going to have an attitude. Find another place to moan.

Why the hell would Nintendo lower the price when they can't keep up with demand? You will be lucky if they knock anything off the price before next xmas.
#13
because they are bringing out nintendo Wii 2 HD

I ordered from shopto and received mine next day.

is that a normal wii (2 gamecubes taped together) only with an upscaling DVD player superglued on top?

The Wii's price isn't going to get lower anytime soon. Why would it when they can't even stock the thing at £180? The very best you could hope for is maybe a £30 reduction in RRP before next Xmas but I very much doubt even that will happen. Even if it did, why wait a whole year just to save £30 when you can be playing Mario Galaxy right now?

Voted cold - a product for sale at RRP is not a deal.
These have not been particularly hard to get hold of, I've had 6 delivered from amazon in the past few weeks (for friends and family before anyone heckles - i've not made a penny profit)!

I got mine last friday i have so far sent 4 emails to say its broken and need to exchange it, no responce so far. You cant even call them.
#19
We ordered a Wii last Christmas waited 6 weeks & got it Jan 07 & its fab. We have had hours of fun with all friends & Family. Paid £179.99 nearly 12 months ago & so price has not changed.
#20
Mine hasnt been dispatched! Tried calling them, never get an answer.
#21
I think Shopto are closed for the festive period, most people will probably receive responses after new years day and that's probably why there sale starts on Jan 3rd.
#22
I posted a question on their forum regarding when items would be dispatched, they said on the 2nd as the office is closed until then.
#23
i ordered guitar hero 3 from shopto on friday & it came monday so they are still dispatching items

I don't think 2 bundles available from Argos means they are 'readily available'.

The phone number is 01344 404 773 or use the contact form on their website, I used it a couple of days ago and got a response this morning as they have just opened after Christmas.
