Would recommend staying away from wii products from Argos Clearance, most are returns and don't get tested properly, had five wii remotes from these guys before they replaced the original two I bought, they did replace postage etc, but was it worth the hassle probably not.

But it says new, not refurbished? Can they do this?

imo the wii is dying a bit of a death....good new games are few and far between and there is not *much* on the horizon.

this is cheap fun for a bit and you can probably pick up all the best games from the past real cheap now though.

nintendo must surely be announcing a new console soon???

Goldeneye due to be released for the wii in November, ready for the xmas rush :)

Yeah and now the PS Move is out, the Wii won't fair so well, as the Move has much better technology and games.

Says brand new, so very good deal.
#9
That's got the Christmas shopping off to a good start - Thanks!

For example it has the Z axis, which means it tracks 3 axis instead of 2, so you can move forward and back.
And yes it's extremely accurate.

lol, yeah, and the the Dreamcast is getting a new Samba De Amigo controller, that'll change the whole market too.

Please guys, give fantard assertions a break for 5 minutes please. V. hot deal OP.

plenty of life yet in the wii, and very underated in my opinion. I use one for bbc iplayer all the time.

excellent deal.
#15
I don't think you can call the Wii underated. It's definitely the opposite! We've owned one for quite a while and yet we only play on the PS3. The game's aren't good enough, the graphics aren't good enough and the controller isn't really accurate enough really.
#16
Who cares about the PS3??? this is brand new with a warranty, controller and game for just over £100. That's a great price...
#17
I bought a Wii. I genuinely wish I had waited and used the money to buy PS3 move. The novelty wears off immediately for this. The games are all same-ish and the controllers arent accurate at all.

thanks

Agreed. But if you're a casual gamer or buying this for the kids, its a great deal.

Plenty of life left in the Wii yet. PS3 costs loads more than this so its not comparable!

There are a LOT of great games on the wii, and not just for kids - Resident Evil 4 is probably the best game I have ever played, the various Marios are great, and on and on. Wii users are well aware that the graphics are nowhere comparable to hi-def from the PS3 or Xbox, but it's great for family games. Also, all of you PS3 Move fans, Wii does have the Motion Plus add-on which greatly increases accuracy. None of this is really the point though - what does matter is that you can get a great little console for a bargain price. Well done OP!!!
#21
voted cold because it is a Wii and still has inferior 1990's graphics.
#22
If anyone is looking for a cheaper deal, but it is used and without a game, then Cex have them with a 12 month warranty and delivered for £60:

Well said, too many ps3 fanboys on here making stupid comments. The fact this is already ULTRA hot speaks for itself.
#26
If you can afford a PS3 then get one and quit complaining, but a Wii for this price has to be a hot deal!
#27
Bloody hot!

Mine were marked as new, but they weren't they were returns, just like most of the products these sell.

Everything I have ever bought from Argos eBay has been brand new. If you weren't happy then you should return it for a refund. Other people on here have bought the Zoostorm Netbooks from Argos eBay and even though they are marked as refurbs most people find they are in as new condition.

This Wii is sold as Brand New so it is new.

so many muppets on this site. have any of you ps3 fanbois played smg2? amazing game.

dying a death, idiots.
#31
I'm almost certain at the next big games expo and revamp of the wii will be revealed including a controller with built in motion plus :)

ahahah what games? And note I do mean games not mini games which even PS move lacks right now.
#33
BBC Iplayer on it is cool!
#34
What a load of old tripe is being spouted on here, a Wii isn't a 360 or a PS3 so what....I own all three, talk of the Wii being rubbish is nonsense.

Admittedly it does have a terrible amount of badly coded casual titles, but you cannot get Nintendo classic exclusives anywhere else, and for £100 surely that alone is money well spent.

I have a PS3 with the move controller, and whilst obviously it is technically superior there is not one single killer title for it yet...in fact I judge the PS3 the same as the Wii, good for getting for a few exclusives.

It's not all about graphics, it is about gameplay, don't buy a Wii and you are missing out on Zelda, Mario and Samus (Metroid Prime), not to mention the upcoming fantastic re-imaging of Donkey Kong Country.
#35
I can confirm that all these are returns and from past experience I know Argos are not particular about the condition that goods are returned.

Keep clear of this one as you’re likely to get a console that has been booted around a council estate!

Only saving grace is that this deal will be expired soon as there are currently 76 Muppets who have bought one of these.
