pardon my ignorance, but why is an item selling at it's RRP classed as a HOT deal?

:?

... or is HOTUKDEALS now being used as a 'stock checker' system?

I know as of late its kinda turned into QUICK this item is in stock here now HURRY!

Then you think cool must be cheap or on offer , then when you find out it's just the rrp its kinda meh.

But i suppose the price for this is not bad for some people and it keeps us all informed and upto date on whats out there.
But we all want it CHEAPER i tell you!:whistling:

You obviously haven't tried to buy one of these. If a posting on HUKD helps just one person then surely its worthwhile. Anyway, I'm voting this got...so there!

my local game had 10 in stock yesterday .. they've been in stock since tuesday and it's the first time they haven't sold out straight away. If anyone really wants one and is close to SW London then please PM me and I'll tell you the store... This site is all about hot deals but I feel if I put down the store that some knob will just go and buy them all just to put on ebay..

I agree this is not a deal, isnt a deal meant to be where something is cheaper than rrp, and isnt rrp for this the same price as what argos is selling it for?? And as for it being rare I higly doubt that as when I have walked down the high street in the city I live most mainstream shops have them in. This isnt a deal and for that reason i'm voting cold

They actually are very hard to get ahold of, which is why eBay listing for them (second hand) are selling for more than their RRP. I've been looking for one for a friend for the past couple of months and it's been impossible to get - i know Zavvi have had a few in but sold them pretty much instantly.

I dunno where you live, but here in Liverpool they're definitly hard to come by.

For the info of it being in stock, voted hot.

this is the sort of post that encourages the ebayers to make a quck buck and cause an hype hysteria !!
#24
I got this while it was in stock at Amazon cos I was abroad and the time difference meant it was like 6am in the UK!! I have to say its absolutely fantastic, totally worth the hype!

Still can't believe folk are rushing around scrambling to pay £70 for an accessory. Can someone who actually has one of these honestly say its worth £70 or as I suspect is it simply a gimmick that will last about a week?
#26
Just ordered from Argos, thank you.
#27
I wonder how many of these will end up on Ebay?
#28
hi, got my delivered this morning many thanks
#29
There seems to be alot of these floating around now. Do you think stock will be okay for this Christmas? I hope its not another Nintendo Wii like shortage like it was last year

It really depends on how you are going to use it whether you think its worth £70 or not. I go to the gym and do 30/40 mins of hard exercise stuff, like rowing/ cycling etc, then use wii fit for about half an hour to do muscle exercises. It's a very good companion to the gym. Weighing yourself every day is helpful, and knowing exactly what you are doing, i.e I know I have done 100 Jackknives in a session is quite satisfying. Setting yourself a target to work for spurs you on also.

However, if you are just going to use it purely as a game, then i wouldn't bother personally.

Nintendo must have a really good marketing team as this will be the must have/hard to get item for christmas due to them holding back stock etc etc
#32
If there's a lot floating around, doesn't that indicate that there WON'T be a stock shortage at Xmas?

Well we bought a set of scales for £50 (no game ), which does pretty much everything that the WiiFit does... scales are no longer accurate so i think indeed the wiifit is definitely worth it's money.

I've been told by the manager at Game that there will be so much stock for the Christmas period that no one will miss out if they want one. Those with their garage full of WiiFits should probably get rid of them now before they lose out in a big way! :whistling:

Is this game any good? I ordered one the other day, i'm not sure if i want it now, no problem though 'cos my parents really want it so i can give it to them (i mean, sell!). It's just i bought a wii for the kids at xmas and kinda got swept along in the panic of getting a wii fit. Regretting it a bit now, especially as it looks like they're coming in to stock everywhere. There's also a new game called family trainer - it's a dance-mat style game, and as well as being cheaper it looks fun for the kids. Any thoughts?:-D

See my post at the top of the page. Hope that helps.

That same quote emanated from various places (including Game) last Xmas re the Wii, and look what happened there. Ignore what the store managers say, just go on what the current situation is.

Thought as much and since its been tested to death as a "fitness" tool and proven to do very little on its own then its a very expensive throw away toy. Maybe I'll just buy rock band with the drums, probably get as much excercise!!

Many thanks, ordered one, it comes tomorrow. Can't wait to see the kids faces when it comes.

Don't forget though, this board wasn't just built to play Wii Fit. Family ski already supports the Wii board and there are more games on the way.

I ordered one at like 8.30 ish this morning and it said they cannot confirm the order and it would be processed within the next few hours..
I don't even have an email confirming I placed any order yet... is this the same for everyone else?
