I just don't get the Wii, every time I've been round someones house who's had one we end up playing some horribly garish cartoon game moving the controllers about like freaks. Table tennis, the play had no resemblance to what I was doing with the bat, just responding to any old quick movement. I won a game by stimulating masturbation with the bat. Whats the point of that?
#13
uh Zavvii in reading seems to have ab out 40 of these in stock. Are they hard to get hold of or something?

I agree...you should never just simulate masturbation when you could be spending time doing the real thing!!!! :-D:-D:-D

This is hardly a deal...

A full price product coming back into stock at a ****** overpriced shop, wow stop the presses. Also the Wii is for kids and full time mums. Wii fit, get some exercise ffs, I don't see how the yoga-esque stances (if you can call it that) will get your heart rate into the fat burning zone, unless the sheer act of moving causes you to break a sweat.

What is a fag?You mean a cigarette?
#20
Yes its not for cigarettes, now go back to your Wii Fit deal, you need to be camped outside of game surely?
#21
you've not played Super Mario Galaxy then, arguably the best game ive ever played.
and ive been around since the commadore 16 plus 4 and bbc micro days

It is a deal if the best available is from ebay etc at a very high price.

Perhaps it's not a deal as such but this is a very good site to pass on this useful information.

Does yoga get your heart rate into the fat burning zone?

It's actually a very useful bit of kit to get people who don't exercise more interested in keeping fit.

Y'RLY? Well the first party titles, granted, will be ok if you can overlook yet again another rendition of Mario Kart, still Kart, Galaxy, Zelda, Metriod and Starfox doesn't cut the mustard for a console barely sold cheaper than the 360.

For someone who has been around since Commadore days (FYI I owned CPC464) i'd expect more. I mean why get the Wii is Cooking Mama really your sort of game? Or do you just enjoy the bowling game where you can do the full action in true realism or simply flick your wrist to achive the same results. ;-)

Its still a Wii fit though... shouldn't these be free with washing tablets?

its a fair point that some of the games aren't that great, clearly made for the younger market, but it still has some good titles.
and its trying to push new boundaries with the control system.
Pro evo is a completely new way of playing footy games. gone are the days when you scream at the tv because a computer controlled player hasnt run into the space or overlapped as you wanted.
i personally think its a good mix of games for the more hardcore gamer, and games for more social situations - yes im at the age where the mrs invites people round for boring dinner parties.

each to their own i guess.

i dont really follow the 360, but havent they only just reduced the price, and isnt the cheaper version missing things (wireless connectivity?)

Not having a go but this is entirely my main argument against the Wii with Pro Evo being a good example. It seems innovation on the controller has gone to all the developers heads to the point where every game goes through the same transition of add some cartoon heads -> then some quirky controls.

When I heard of Pro Evo I was like ah good, the Wii will get its first serious game prehaps? Then I watched the review and saw how they have dumbed down basically an excellent football simulation into some sort of party game. For example shooting on goal is now a flick of the wrist with the success of the shot being determined purely by distance from the goal and the current players skill - you can't decide where to shoot. Its really crippled what was basically an excellent game and could have been a top title on the Wii. Now the fans of it would argue that its innovation but in my opinion its stupidity. I think they need to realise theres a time and a place to add motion controls to a game and the game should come first above its control mechaism. So yeah whilst I appreciate your point I certainly don't agree and Pro Evo is probably one of the best examples against the Wii.

lol, it's an awful console... would rather stick with my 360, and that's saying something! PS3 & PSP rules hands down! :)
#29
It says 'product temporarily removed from sale' after i click buy now??

Not showing as in stock yet :-(

Its working now - I have one in my basket

im sure there will be people who love the wii, and poeple who love the 360. i havent really played the 360 so cant really comment. i just like the new things they have tried to do with the wii.
i think they have tried to make the pro evo on the wii more about the build up to goals than the actual shooting. i used to get bored with my mate shooting from 30 yards with batistuta and scoring every time.
i dont think they have made a good pro evo since the PSX1 days

having said all this my girlfriend loves the wii and i cant get her off the SNES version of mario i downloaded her, to play anyhting myself!

Just bought one now, thanks!

Mine has just gone through using quidco. Many thanks to the OP.

Dixons keep coming in and out of stock £69.99 delivered - might be a little less frustrating than trying to get through to Game.

There was a code when you went via http://www.wii-consoles.co.uk/wii_fit_realtime.asp for £5 off yesterday making it £64.99 but that isn't there today. It was DIXONS5... don't know if it still works. 3% Quidco too.

Got one, my nephew will be chuffed, thanks again for the heads up
