Good Luck with them honouring the 20%

Excludes Electicals

Freemans will only honour an offer code/discount if it is used in line with these terms and conditions of issue.

delivery in 9 days!! discount excludes electrical products!!

I have just ordered one and it took it from £85 down to £68, so unless they change this anytime soon then it should work, despite what they say in their T&C's.
#4
i tried to order one but no mention of any discount in the price..you had to submit the order for the full price then let freemans decide if they want to give you the discount.
#5
Still not a bad price at £85 to be fair if you can get one, better than paying over £120 elsewhere.

I don't get this nonsense with adding a travel case. Who is going to travel around with a Wii Fit? Just an excuse to profiteer, like Game are doing.

I picked up a Wii Fit for RRP last week at my local Tesco :)

When you confirm the order (during the order process) it automatically adjusts the price to £68.

Since their system does this itself with no user intervention possible I would suggest that you'd have a pretty strong case for arguing with them

I also rang Customer Services who said that the 20% was valid and that if it was charged later you could return the item for free.

Worth a go I'd say for less than RRP and free Case (useful as a dust protector!)

Yep just called myself, she assured me that the discount will definately apply and that the rule is for things like washing machines etc that are high priced, despite the terms saying otherwise

They do what littlewoods do. Charge you £68 and at the end of the month charge you again for the discount they applied (£17). They are legally allowed to claw back any discounts wrongfully applied. Thats why everyone hates these catalogue companies.

they wont refund either if you have opened the goods.

Won't be able to do that with me, I paid with one of those credit coupons :-D

if you have invoince stating £68, they cannot take anymore, its illegal and you can do them good for taking more out of your account.

Be careful with the use of the word legally there, I don't think they are legally allowed to do it and they backed out before anyone took them to court so I would think that they were in the wrong otherwise they would've stuck to their guns.

Doesn't stop them or other retailers trying it again though.

true - but they still do it. There is a massive thread all about this very subject as littlewoods did exactly what I described. Would you take them to the small claims court for the extra £17?

Thnaks for this, tried code on screen on but system wouldn't not all allow it.

However I did find a 10% code for everything !! And my code worked, (at 5.50pm tonight 24/07/08)

code ZB7P hope this helps....

Also I have received an email for Freemans today, stating they will beat any competiton price , or they will credit account difference plus additional 10& of the difference........ so I'm now on the hunt for a competitors cheap price......will let you know any outcome :)

Ordered mine yesturday got an email to confirm adn a pending transaction of £68 coming of my credit card. Slightly concerned they wont be able to get enough to meet demand as it's still availble on the web site. My delivery said 9 days so well see
#19
No need for small claims court most credit cards like Barclaycard have a costumer protection department - I had this done to me by littlewoods and Barclaycard challenged them with result !

Saying that I have ordered this from Freemans eventhough I do have those catalogues companies.

Anyone recieved their one yet ?

I place my order on 24th july, web page shown as due to be delivered in 9 days, account even stated order in process, meaning will be with me shorlty.......... gave freemans a ring, and guess what, they are not expecting any til.............wait for it .......................November.

They have now removed this from the site .
#21
Same thing happrned to me placed our order in July expected delivery within 9 days (already charged my card) Phoned to enquire about it today and told problems with supply (eh never thats a suprise heres me thinking you can just get them at the corner shop donut! why do you think the 9day delivery was appealing to everybody) and it will be with me by November!!! So basically they take your money promise 9 day delivery then the big rip off kicks in. Robbing Tw..s! Now how many have they sold and what level of interest will they have earned on our money by November.

Cheers
