I assume that this is getting a re-release due to demand for the original print run?
#2
patched?
#3
Worth noting there appears to be a fresh batch of factory sealed versions available generally on the web. Prices around the £35 mark instead of the £60 or so we've seen recently.

not if it's patched

We had a lot of unsubstantiated claims of patching when Play were flogging them for £18. Turns out they were fine but of course if anyone has real evidence it'd help everyone if they posted it here.

One other thing is that many WIIs don't run 4.3e out of the box and so if you haven't gone online and upgraded you probably don't need this.

MyMemory have in stocK.

But there is a patched version ? it's 100% sure ?

been like this for ages on shopto, im pretty sure there not re releasing im quite sure there out of stock and occasionally get it so just leave it on there site rather then have to keep readding as i bought this game ( game instore ) early DEC and it was on shopto saying pre-order then.

They were certainly in stock at stockto this morning before going to preorder again. I know because they've dispatched mine.
Agreed though, I doubt this is a re-release. Probably another batch unearthed in some warehouse like last time.
#13
@ All, with this being magically on pre-order or in stock everywhere, it's almost certainly had a re-release, due feb i believe. And if you think for a second they won't have patched one very well know and abused bug... Given that it's been out of print for so long, afaik everywhere had sold out of the originals. So any new stock anywhere is gonna be the re-released, re-patched version. That's my guess anyway.

Just to let you know Wii LEGO Batman can now also do the same thing as this game. I dont know if it would be ok to post a link here but googling for "Bathaxx" should give you all the info you need.

>> I doubt this is a re-release. Probably another batch unearthed in some warehouse like last time.

That would be the warehouse of Skream Ltd (trading as ShopTo), one of the UK's largest distributors of multimedia goods? Somehow, I don't think they just "lost" a load of stock, then found it, and decided to sell on said exploitable software. Oh no. They'll deffinately be one of the first to take delivery of any new pressings though...

But where did you see there is a patched version ?

I don't see the publisher re-releasing a game without an exploit when people only want it for the exploit. The market would die in a day and they'd have thousands of unsold copies. I could be wrong but I guess we'll only see with time. Seems academic now anyway. Indiana jones is dead, long live bathaxx.

thanks

A gaming shop selling on ebay sold 850 copies for £60 each a few weeks ago on pre-order. Stock was due in on 7th February according to their advert and they said that they had a limited batch coming straight from Activision/Lucas). Today they started advertising another 150 for £49.99 each available now, so could be a reprint of some description but would be interesting to know if anything has been patched to affect the game play ...

Just bought Lego Batman at Zavvi for under a tenner. :)

So does the Lego Batman trick work exactly the same as the Lego Indy one?

Erm... yes... These things are only released under license by Nintendo, right? Nintendo, the people who produce the console, who stand to lose £billions through piracy, helped in no small way by a certain exploit in a certain film based game.

To think Nintendo would even dream of allowing a publisher to release a game with a known and widely mis-used bug, just so said publisher can make a few £10s of pounds on each game sold (which they won't anyway, they're distributing at standard pricing to major retail stores, as said stores are hardly gonna pitch a game at 2 or 3 times as much as every other game in the store, just because "oh, it's ok, it's that much because you can use it to mod the console, pirate some games and never come back here and purchase another one ever again"...

On the balance of probability, not a chance.
On past experience, not a chance (see Mech Assault xbox 1, and every other bug fixing patch released by any games company).
On the possibility of the publisher's market colapsing by releasing a game that, actually, people still buy just to play, just like the 1000s of other games out there... probably not. I can't remember the last time any publisher realised "oh sh*t, we've created a huge security hole in our licensor's hardware... but just think of the profits we could make :D:D". And any unlicensed group who've tried to commercialise such a situation have found themselves in big legal trouble very quickly.

But maybe we'll get lucky, eh? :)

isn't the debate abt the game being patched or not now pointless as now that lego batman can do the job and there should be plenty of stock new and old arnd in the shops for that

Right
For those of you who dont know how re stock works
The main thing is units like these are not fixed when re released they are just printed again in a factory in china doubt Anyone will pay someone to go and update the game itself as that will cost the publisher more money

I HAVE LEGO NEW STOCK AND IT WORKS FINE BOTH BATMAN AND INDIANA ALL NEW STOCK

Also note Lego Batman price has gone up everywhere, thanks for the heads up Link83

... or Lego Star Wars now. Can't help thinking Lego is now a swear-word within the Nintendo Corporation.
#30
lol which Star Wars is it?
#31
Complete Saga. The price of these lego games won't rise above £20 now so the Indiana Jones xmas goldrush is well and truly over.
