Just noticed that The Hut group have dropped the price on this Wii gadget. It was £8 - £9 a few days ago. With the 10% discount Zavvi is the best buy from what I can find. Elsewhere is appears to be selling betrween £12.95 and £15.

Handy if you have any Star Wars games I imagine.

For use with Nintendo Wii games console. Simply slip your Wii Remote into the handle and press the on button to instantly power up your light sword. The power up and down effect is done gradually until the light sword is at its full length.

Requires 3 x AA Batteries (not supplied).

Seen it for £15 on HMV nd Game websites-is that a good buy-sounds it compared to £38 at Zavvi.

If it's Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga you're after then yes, Game; HMV; Amazon; Gamestation have it for £14.99
If it's Star Wars: The Force Unleashed ShoTo have it on order for £19.99 Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and insore at PC World for £19.98
And if it's Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels the cheapest I can find is £24.99 @ ShopTo, but again on order http://www.shopto.net/page.php?page=dettagli&codart=WIIST04
I'd wait a whie before ordering, as games are not my speciality and someone just might come on and leave a slightly better deal on these

It's just a stupid plastic shell.

Excessive rant to included below (sorry)

Sure I loved my silly red lightsabre back in 70's but there's no point attaching it to a wiimote.
Why not buy a cooking accessory too http://www.gameyeeeah.com/images/1113090006/bg_240.jpg
or a whole box of junk http://cache.gizmodo.com/assets/resources/2008/01/18in1.jpg
or this to play the non-existent flight sims http://www.gameyeeeah.com/images/1113090005/bg_240.jpg
or this pool cue which you can use to give your TV a nice poke when you play http://www.gameyeeeah.com/images/1113090002/bg_240.jpg

i still think its brill-my 9 year old will love this-so i still think its a great buy-thanks OP-and for your help with the games.

Good price, but have a llok at the reviews on the net. They don't appear to work when waving them like light sabres, and you have to poke them at the sensor bar to get them to register

Unfortunately those were real WIimote shells that I showed pictures of - shame I couldn't find a picture of the one that is a toy plastic plane for your Wiimote, or the Trauma Centre instruments.

If it isn't connected electronically to the Wiimote or Wii, it is stupid though I'd maybe make an exception for those that are linked to the buttons (ie the Zapper and the Mario Cart Wiil).

No way. I seriously thought that lot had been made up. That's so funny. But, the lightsabre is pretty cool though. Not sure about the ones you posted though. One of them looks like a Doctors surgery kit.

THey are a great novelty item but all these add ons for the remote cause it to be less sensitive!
#17
I love the way that there are soooooo many add ons for the Wii remote but barely any are licensed by nintendo, they missed a trick there
#18
I managed to get 2 of these when Wollies closed down in Romsey for £10 the pair - what a deal that was.
#19
Sorry but these add ons are total rubbish. The wiimote is covered up at the end so the wiimote doesn't work properly. Sorry voted cold.
