Surely you have provided the answer source for your own query. The link shows 66 user votes, rating the game 4.3 / 10, certainly would put me off buying
#6
yeah i thought about getting this too but all the reviews put me off....i reckon my kids would be bored of this in no time and would want to put Mariokart back on...
#7
truely awful...this 'game' has shaken my confidence in nintendo
#8
CEX gives you £25 cash/ or £30 credit im shure so gamestation/game cant be much less
#9
it looks ***** but hot price!
#10
Kids will love it for sure. Adults will like Rock Band/Guitar Hero, while kids will be able to play along with this game. It's more of a family title really anyway imo :)

Regardless of how cráp I might think the game is, I have voted hot, because it is a good price in comparison to other places.
#11
you can always strap the wii mote to the cat or dog and let the music play
#12
It's awful. Save yourself £23 and just sit in your room on your own waving your arms and make up a score after 3 minutes.
#13
Wow - and I posted the other day as Asda instore was £28.37.

Took mine back for refund and bought at new price.

Great spot - mnay thanks OP

Surely if you can just turn up with your receipt and the unopened game, they can refund the difference? Easier than processing two transactions I would have thought. (though if it was ASDA, it wouldn't surprise me if this wasn't the case!)
#15
Avoid this game at all costs!
its an utterly pointless game, you basicly just wave the wiimote around and press the 1 and 2 button.
#16
Some people really are suckers. How can this be hot? Its the worst nintendo game in years!

Ignore all the very low scores. The major critics are pople who were expecting to be some kind of cross between Guitar Hero and a Mario game. I'm not sure I'd even describe it as a game in fact (which is why a lot of people have piled the hate on it). It's more of a "my first music sequencer".
Basically you have about 50 instuments and a similar number of tunes. You carry out actions that roughly mimic that instument (for a piano you move the wimote and nunchuck up and down, for a trumpet you press the 1 & 2 buttons on the wiimote). It is not however a rhythm game in the normal sense. Each action you carry out (e.g. a raising and fall of a controller while playing the piano) plays a note and you can adjust these notes in various ways (play chords or single notes, while playing the trumpt tipping the wiimote up increases the volume. You pick your tune and instruent and begin to play any way you feel like and the game does its best to match your style, you can keep it simple and just hit the main beats but you can also go faster and add notes or go slower and skip them, the game does its best to fit your actions to the tune (and will run a backing group for you as well). If you have four people around they can each take a part (drums, bass guitar etc) if not you can record one part and then play the next over the top of that with up to a six piece band. You have a huge ammount of freedom, if you want to make a rock version of twinkle twinle little star you can. Equally you can make a jazz version which will sound hugely different. Do a search on youtube for examples of what can be done.Such as here: http://uk.youtube.com/results?search_query=wii+music+every+breath&search_type=&aq=f
It's not without faults, I'm not even sure I like it myself (it's actually very hard to get good results) and the game doesn't quite match up with the concept but it is truely unique and I would reccomend it to families with musically inclined children.

This really is a Marmite kind of game.
Personally, I love it.

Heat added.

Seconded

Hot for the price, but I'd agree the product isn't so hot. It's fun for 10 minutes, but not worth buying if your a gamer. Like a lot of Wii games, it's just for kids or Adults that can't handle more complex, decent games.
#21
Have been looking for this game for hubby this xmas, now not so sure about it,good price though.Maybe i'll pass and wait for it to come out to rent and then be glad I never wasted all that money lol
#22
Honestly guys, this game is no good at all!!!! I Wanted it and a friend had it so i tried it, what a HUGE dissappointment!!! To be honest, I was expecting a cheaper version of rock band, how wrong was I lol! Literally all you do is wave your arms in time, if you want to jazz up the song, change the rhythem a bit and thats it!!! You rate your OWN performance, which was a massive disappointment, I wanted to be told how good/bad I was like in rock band lol.

If your looking for rock band without the expensive instruments... AVOID!!! And I think kids would get bored really quickly too!!!!
#23
P.S I'll vote hot simply cause this is a good price, :) not game tho lol. x

In stock ASDA Newton Abbot, saw today. Didnt buy not very good reviews

I think a lot of people are missing the point to this 'game'.
It's less a game, more a tool/instrument.
You should definitely rent it to see if you like it or not.
You can't judge how good this game is by reviews, it's completely down to the user.

Trust me, rent it; if you don't like it, fine.
If you do, then brilliant, you can get it for a bargain price.

It's a fantastic tool.

My Wii is gunna end up out of the window if Nintendo don't get some good games soon. My Ps3 and xbox 360 get used most days i don't think I've turned my Wii on for about 3 months.

The adverts on the tv for this make me want to vomit and then kick my screen in

Tell me about it, even the kids want the 360 on, feel at the mo it was a waste, perhaps a novelty, but Mario Kart still rocks!
#29
Probably because you're all buying Big Deca Beach Sports Party 8 Family Minigames and My Horse and Me: Adventures :-D
#30
Such a stupid game. Good for kids mind
#31
Awful awful awful awful game. There's about 5 minutes of entertainment here at best..

Tell me about it!

Have you seen nintendo's advert for Mario and Sonic at the Olympics?
tbh a good game, but the advert shows the opening movie and try to pass that off as the in-game grahpics / gameplay.

Nintendo have gone down hill when they bought out the Wii, they could of done so much better with it.

For 1 a decent graphics card.
#33
Developers using CGI on their adverts?
Jesus Christ, that's a first...

Really? Is that all you do?!? That's rubbish in comparison to the highly skilled gameplay of all the other games, where what you have to do is wave the wiimote around and press the 1 and 2 button to achieve some sort of a goal. Shocking... how dare they make a game where you have to use the controller to play it!!! :whistling:

lol what I mean is, u just wave it about.. no skill involed or anything.

It’s not like other games where u actually use the wiimote to achieve something.
In this game u waggle it about willy-nilly
