Although 4Gamers are a third party manufacturer, there is nothing about this product that screams knock-off or cheap. Every bit of detail to attention has been considered and it not only looks like a great fit for the Nintendo Wii, it boasts excellent sound quality that works incredibly well on any type of game and will bring a whole new dimension to your games.

If you’re not already running the Wii through at least a 2.1 speaker system, then this one is worth considering because it packs a punch in both volume and price with the going rate around the £70 mark.

Shame they don't come in black, really nice though, and good price, have some heat.

Ordered-worth a pop-don't forget Quidco (only 4% though!)

These were a piddling seven quid the other day .... I ordered three .. forgot where from off the top of my head. Anyway the upshot of it is that its still 'out of stock' ... so at least you'll pay a tad more here but get them this year .. unlike myself!

Hi. Can these speakers be used to connect to the TV without the Wii, i.e to watch tv, films etc and would they be any good. Would I require any additional cables to connect it to my Samsung LCD Tv is it is compatible. Thanks
#22
Someone in a previous listing of these speakers posted the quick set up guide that comes with the speakers (thanks to Farine) :

P.S it works with if you use either composite or component cables (as it just needs the red and white connectors) and it comes with the cable extension seem in the diagram (though its probably online 0.5metres long).

So anyone wanting to hook their laptop with these speakers would need a splitter? is that right?

Nice one :), thanks for clearing that up, did a search myself on Ebay and found it for 99p delivered, just search for 3.5mm Jack Male Plug to 2 RCA M Phono Audio Lead Cable

Can these be used as TV speakers on their own?
#27
Does anyone know dimensions of the subwoofer please?
#28
Looking at the diagram I think it has aux phono output (the red and white cables) so you can connect it to your tv

fanoom
Does anyone know dimensions of the subwoofer please?

The sub-woofer sits in a cradle that's similar in design to the original one for the Wii, but also equipped with a slot for the console itself. So the whole package not only looks tidy but also sits neatly, self-contained under any TV or screen, measuring 15 x 17 x 25cm and weighing 2.8kg.

Dont know about putting them on the floor but mastercomputer says this about it on Play.com

This is essential for anyone whom doesn't already have surround sound, I would never go back to using the tv speakers again. The actual RRP of these speakers is 69.99 not the 29.99 shown here - just to give you an idea of how much of a bargain this is and also to give you an idea that this is not some cheap rubbish. The main subwoofer is well built and actually suprisingly (and reassurringly) heavy, it delivers deep bass without any vibration. The satalite speakers deliver the surround sound perfectly, with a rich clarity. The system comes packaged with a remote - which is a replica of the Wii remote - this lets you adjust volume, bass, treble, and the ability to switch between 3D surround, loud and normal. I found that the normal setting is perfect but it's worth playing around to find your own preference. It's also worth picking yourself up a Wii component cable to maximise the visual quality too as this cable is compatable with the speakers. It's worth noting that the system is officially licensed by Nintendo whichis usually a good indication of quality. The system is well built and has the same colour and quality as the Wii itself.

Bought these when they were £7 odd quid on Play but I'm still waiting for them to be back in stock...
#33
Had these but got rid of them in favour of a similar priced Logitech 2.1 set purely on the basis that you had to turn the speaker set on every time either with the remote or power switch on the unit itself. I wanted the speaker set to come on automatically when I flipped the switch on the wall socket. Ok, you could leave them permanently switched on but that isn't exactly a 'green' or 'cheap' solution. With the logitech ones they just work.

I had them plugged into the TV headphone socket using a 3.5mm minijack to 2 x RCA cable (pound shop).

One thing I will say however is that they are very well built and the bass is immense!

I got this previously for kids in youth club and would recommend.

Can I ask a question. I have a PS3 and Wii sitting beside each other. I have the Wii connected using component cables and the PS3 connected through HDMI. I there any sort of splitter cable I could get that would allow me to have the sound from both the PS3 and Wii going through this system without having to change speakers each time?

One other question. Is there any way I could hook this system up to my tv (Panasonic Viera) so that I would be able to use the subwoofer when playing dvds (through a HD-DVD player)? Would it just need a third splitter running to the dvd player?

Any help really appreciated and rep left.

Hi. Can someone please tell me if I can use these stand alone for my Tv. Does it come with leads to connect it to the TV directly without using a Wii. My inbuilt Samsung speakers are rubbish.
