Not 100% sure if it should be classed as a "hot deal" but Wii play is now in stock online at Comet.

Price is £39.99, plus delivery, but would be ideal if you've a couple of things to buy from the site. Currently a nightmare to get a hold of, as is the Wii, so hopefully this helps someone.

Please be gentle!

I was annoyed at £42.44 from dixons but this is getting worse.:x

I am really annoyed by the obvious price increasing as a result of the Wii shortage. Shame that such deals are being voted hot just because of availability rather than price.
#7
Yes I agree - this is HOT UK Deals, not Hot Availability Deals. Even if £39.99 is the cheapest price the usual price on this was £34.99 before the shortages. Its a tough one to call because yes its the hottest deal out there at the moment (£39.99) but it's also extortion. It's no better than ticket scalping. Im going to vote this one cold because of the reasons above but I understand if some do not agree.

Appreciate your comments - yeah I know it's not exactly a find worthy of mass proclaimation, but in the current climate I dont think you will be able to find better anywhere else. Would not call it extortion though, thats a tad harsh, who's to say Comet ever sold it at £34.99? The delivery price is a tad frustrating though, fair enough - but if you've a couple of things to order that nullifies that side of things.

Votes hot or cold bother me not, if only one person found this helpful or useful It will prove worthy of a post, and I will be happy :)

I have ordered 1 from here, but i rang their customer service department and they said that they cannot specify an exact date on when the order will arrive, as their supplier will be dispatching, viking direct don't have any in their warehouse.

I mite ring them up for an update and see what is actually happening with the order... i'll keep you posted...

My dad just arrived back from Gamestation having paid £34.99. They had lots in stock apparently but for some bizarre reason they were all up in the stock room and only one member of staff appeared to know they had them!

Yeah could you keep us posted :) I've ordered from Comet, but if Viking can deliver I will cancel my original order, save myself a tenner and order there. Says on the site that it gets delivered straight from the manufacturer!?

Cheers mate, rep left.

The 13th is helluva close to chrimbo, not sure whether its worth taking the chance or pay the extra tenner and get it now from Comet. Decisions decisions!

Wii play is available fro pre-order from ebuyer. £38.70 plus delivery. They have 60 odd available for pre-order.

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/119689

Again, not a hot deal as overpiced, but maybe worth mentioning in case people are desparate for one. I pre ordered from them when price was cheaper and with £10 google checkout discount about 3 weeks ago and it was sent yesterday. So might get in time for christmas.

I would. Its worth the extra £10 than looking everyday and the price has gone up now because its the new pack (comes with remote jacket) and its in different packaging than the original. I had one from dixons the other week and paid £42.49. The day before it came to £37.49 but cut my losses.:)

mite just cancel the order and get it from comet... (if they still have stock).. It seems to close for me.. needed it sorted before the xmas panic buying begins.... Rather be safe then sorry...

I'd not like to take the chance on it arriving on time, expansys.com was selling them as due in 10 days, but now they've had their expected date changed to the 20th january!
#26
ebuyer only has them available to preorder!!
#27
do ebuyer take payment staright away? Just need to know before i order

I appreciate your effort posting. Also I agree extortion was a bit much but I was in a bad mood about the general pricing of Wii products by retailers at the mo so I prob went a bit OTT. Haha. Ive calmed down now!

Yesterday I went to my local Blockbuster (Edinburgh) to checked the price of one certain game, and saw that they only sell Wii Play (in stock and with remote of course) for 29.99. So, maybe check with your local Blockbuster might find it cheaper than order online.
