I have this but my girlfriend got it me for X-mas. Works well as charges your rechargeables.

Heard some people reviewing it on play.com saying it broke their Wii Remotes (i've not voted this cold because of this) as its actually a good stand with Blue LEDs which light up and charge remotes via USB that plugs into the back of your Wii.

I've also had this since christmas and not had any problems with it. The remotes seem to charge quite quickly as well, so I'm pleased with it. :)

Voted hot as it sounds pretty decent, and seriously considering looking for one of these tomorrow.

Quick question though (bit of a blonde one, but ah well), guessing it doesnt fit the controllers in with the remote jackets on?

Not that its a bad thing if it doesnt, just means a little more hassle to take them off each time (yeah, i need them, its alot safer.... bona fida wiitard here :) )

If it doesn't fit with jackets on, then it's no less hassle than just using a normal battery charger and swapping the batteries. That way you also never have to have your remotes stuck charging, and there's no potential risk as detailed in the reviews.

So pretty useless product really, I suppose that if you don't use the jackets then it keeps them tidy at least, so I'll vote lukewarm

I got one of these before Xmas but since reading reviews of it 'cooking' remotes - been too 'afraid' to use it.

I have used the AA to AAA converters that come with it tho... no probs.

Admitedly, did pay more than this for it.

Haven't voted either way.

Hi - I bought one of these a few months ago and it's now in the bin:x
Was ok for a bit but then the batteries didn't hold their charge and gone back to using normal batteries now and thankfully it hasn't broken the wii remotes.
Might have been a dud but just wanted to let you know - I personally wouldn't waste my money:)

i have had this product for a year and a half and have had no issue with it yet. i would highly recommend due to the fact you are getting a charging station as well as a stand. My one recommendation is to make sure you get some high quality rechargeable batteries certain types of rechargeable batteries will not work with this item but it is all explained in the manual. Highly recommend :-D the only problem with this item is there are no decent games for the console that goes with it :whistling:

Peoples use them silly Jackets I can't stand them, my hand fits nicely around the controller without a rubber grip.

Anyway products been working fine with me for about a year now. Cost me £9.00 from Asda. It has a secondary charging bay for AA batterys which also charges the AAA, as sometimes I leave them till the batteries dead (PS3) so it works well at charging them from deaths doors.

Yes, the only reason for the jackets is the litigious society of the stupid suing Nintendo when they throw their remotes around.

Note that there is a red charging light for each remote, which flashes when it's charged.

Oops, yes, you're right.! Must have had a mad moment there, I was thinking it was still £15 for free delivery

The rubber jackets that come with the wii are a pile of pants but the silicon skins you can get are much better. They give you better grip and also stop you hands sweating and soiling the wiimote after some extended play.
