Hi everyone.

Whilst bored at work today, i decided to read the notes on last thursday area conference call. According to this, woolworths will be getting approx 1000 wii's on monday or tuesday next week. These will be online sales only, and will be between 6 & 7 pm. It also said that only the £300 bundle will be availible, so i don't know whay games are included.

Just thought i would give you all a heads up.

Cheers,

Jack

you can say that about most retailers though every week they come on and every week they sell in mins even with 3 games - i dont agree with it but its good business sense

Why?

the majority of customers want to pick and choose from what games they want and dont, from my experiance talking to people and being stood in queues on launch days, when the PS3 came out people were generally given a choice out of launch titles, certainly gamestation did this, when the 360 came out it was the same as wii, you either bought it bundled or didnt, now the wii has been out for almost a year it is in increasingly short supply and retailers (majority of them) want to clear stock of titles they have too many of.

its about quality not quantity!

to be honest from what i see people want the wii, not bundles, the wii with wii sports sells out ALOT quicker than bundles, just looking around at the various sites which stock them recently.

not sure I understand - if you have to order on line then how can the stores have a waiting list? Can someone please explain?

I heard the same info when I picked up my one on friday that I had ordered on monday.

Spoke nicely to the bloke behind the counter and he swapped the games that came with it for 2 of my choice.

Heat and rep added..

The waiting list is where a name and number is given, and they are called in that order to inform that they are available to order.

what ? I can tell the store I want one and they will keep my details and phone me to say I can now order it on line? Sorry to be dense but I can't follow this
#12
Yes you have got it correct. No more will be getting sent to stores, or so we have been told, so adding your name to the waiting list means that when they are available to order online, you will be contacted so that you have the chance to order them.

In my case of being on a waiting list with Smyths – I gave them £25 cash and they put my name down on a list…when the Wii’s arrive, they are reserved in the sequence of the reserve list.
#14
What happens if the don't arrive before christmas?
#15
Then im stuffed. However, the £25 is refundable.
#16
Are you looking elsewhere as well then?

voting cold - I can tell you right now that major high street stores will be getting small quantities of Wiis between now and xmas.

Stating the bleeding obvious is a hot deal? I think not.

This should be in the Wii thread posted by admin
