Wii Sports Resort + Motion Plus - £33.79 @ Tesco

Just got back from Tesco, upon buying the Wii Sports Resort and checking my receipt, I noticed on the bottom under savings, VAT FREE SELECTED GAMES minus £5.08

This is due to the VAT savings in store at the moment, which to be honest, I think is a hefty saving on a great game!

It's not a mis-price, there was a previous deal posted earlier (which went stone-cold because of... other reasons)

They're having a VAT Free week on things - so it's the correct price, which is a fantastic price.

There's also a £5 off voucher floating around in the Daily Express (according to the other thread) this week which gives a further £5 off the price. Or, alternatively, there was on in the Mail On Sunday yesterday (which was the reason for all of the cold votes)

Just to point out to everyone, though, this is the best price around at the moment (as far as I am aware) - it's worth it.

I' m actually tempted to go and get it tonight... hmm... decisions, decisions!

My son just bought this at Sainsburys for £39.99 (minus his staff discount)

Played this over the weekend with my family( an extra wiimotion from amazon for £15) for 2 player mode.It is bluddy brill !

Great game - watching my 2 year old lad delibrately crashing the plane in airsports is worth it on its own, the look of sheer enjoyment on his face as he send the plane spinning down into the sea (again) is priceless!

Pity noone told Nintendo its 2009 and the internet has been invented, thus enabling online gaming :lazy: :whistling: It would have been great to get thrashed by some of the no doubt brilliant japenese table tennis players. Other big miss for me is lack of tennis - keep the wii sports tennis, add in WM+ (spin control etc), nunchuck movement as an option and have a few different types of surface - would have been perfect.

Great price. Heat added

Are wii consoles vat free also? Just bricked mine so need a new one:oops:

Just called my local store and they are selling this package (wii sports resort with wiimote+ & additional wiimote+) for 38.87!!

This takes into account the VAT reduction but they havent got any stock.

Going to reserve online for collection on Thursday and then argue the price with them when i collect.

What is this Express voucher i keep hearing being mentioned...i bought the paper today and could only see a voucher for Lidl???

Have just arrived back from tesco's and the additonal motion sensor deal finished for Wii Sports Resort at the weekend, however widely reviewed as the best wii motion plus game out there is Tiger Woods 2010 which should be £42.77 with VAT discount is now £37.18 that will do me.

still not as good as the argos pre-order deal that was around. People should have been quick on the mark
#21
The best game on this is frisbee. Frisbees cost £1 :p
#22
Just bought this from tesco direct. for £47.84 (free delivery to a local store) Came with an additonal wii motion plus. They are currently giving double club card points (94) and went through quidco and got £1.22 cash back. if you used club card point as deals, they can be worth £3.76, therefore a total of £4.98 off.
#23
they have not had stock in at our local store since the weekend we keep going in but alas same answer hopefully by the weekend.
#24
Tried to get this on Monday but of course local store had sold out. Why do Tesoc advertise these offers and then not get enough stock in for more than 1 day?

On Sunday in the Mail on Sunday there were some vouchers to use in Tesco, one of them being £5 off £25 spend on non food stuff, including home entertainment.

You should be able to use the Lidl vouchers in Tesco as they accept other stores coupons. Just double check with customer services before you go to the till to save any public row/embarrasment...!
#27
Great deal. Grabbed it from Very for the £10 off so came in at about this price. Thanks!
#28
Just ordered the Wii sports resort game and addition controller from Littlewoods (as a new customer) for £39.

Used the codes floating about for newbies to the site.

Had to do two orders, one in my name and one in the better halfs.

Game inc one controller £49 - £20 off code (£29) and controller £25 - £15 off code (£10) = £39 delivered.

Worth a punt if your new to the site. Plus quidco or topcashback.

Delivery quoted within 5 days.

So I can go into Tescos, buy the Daily Express paper, then use a LIDL voucher from that, to get any game, £5 off? + VAT savings?

As long as you're spending £30 or more the Lidl voucher will take £5 off.
#33
Is this policy on the internet? As I dont want to travel to Tesco, to be told this aint right lol.
#34
Good deal!

Brilliant game, bought it when it came out from Argos (£30) and this is the best deal since then.
#35
Tescos are likely to be out of stock at that low price, but Toys R Us have it for £34.89 - my wife just went there & bought Sports Resort inc 1 motion controller instore without issue (ie Plenty in stock!).....

http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Toys-R-Us/Video-Games/Games/Wii-Sports-Resort-with-MotionPlus(0018469)

If you want a bit more of a runaround, PC World (£39.99) will price match against Toys R Us + 10% of the difference ...which takes it down to something like £34.30 (ie 10% of the diiffernce - the difference is about a fiver)...but is it worth the bother for 50p?!!!
#36
You can also get it for £17.99 with trade in, see:

this is for people living in bristol - ok got mine today for £28 (had the mail voucher) so well happy they had 14 left in stock at tesco on coldharbour road in bristol. good luck
#38
Out of stock at my local. But was told at Customer service desk that they're getting in more srock over the weekend and also confirmed that they're accepting Lidl £5 vouchers as found in this weeks Daily Express newspapers.
I've given my voucher to my uncle who works there. He's gonna buy it for me with his staff discount as soon as its in.
£38.87 minus vat = £33.80.
Minus Lidl voucher = £28.80
Minus staff disc = £25.92.
So by Sunday night will hopefully have my hands on a Sports Resort for under £26! Hot!
#39
just got this today from Tesco's. brilliant game and brilliant price. I got it for £29.79. This is how; normal tesco instore price £38.87 - vat savings £5.08 - £4 off when you spend £20 tesco voucher = £29.79!!
I am surprised tesco's are not openly advertising this vat free promotion on games instore. I had to ask the guy to confirm the offer. I laugh when I think that places like gamestation are selling this for £42!
