I've just been to Clearance Bargains in Stanley and they have the Wii U premium Packs in black for £149.99 but there is 20% off on all game consoles - for today at least - I'm not sure how long this is on for.

Also in stock they had the Wii U bundles for £179.99 (-20%):
Lego City Undercover
and
New Super Mario U (with Luigi)

They also had PS3s, PS4s and XBOX with Kinect but I didn't catch the prices.

I think most of the stock is ex Argos and is marked up as refurbished but I have never had any problem with previous purchases.

- The PS4s were £299 with 20% off
- They also have the white Wii U 8gb for £111

I think you're underestimating the price of scarp. It's one of the rarest elements in the universe. Some say it doesn't even exist

Sorry about not putting refurb in the title, I wasn't trying to deceive anyone, I have edited the title now.

I convinced myself (and the missus) that I needed one and have just got back from picking one up. £143.99 for the New Super Mario Bros. U version. It doesn't look like it's ever been opened, though it does have a refurbished sticker with the Argos code on, on the side of the box.

I cannot pick one up for 3 reasons -

1. Stanley is a fair way away from me and I've just done 2 trips.
2. My credit card is already crying blood.
3. The missus would violently remove parts from me which I deem to be essential.

Voted hot - mainly to counteract the moron who's voting cold because he doesn't like the price of £20 coins or some such nonsense.

(Actually, I mainly voted hot because it looks a good deal, but don't tell the negative kid...)

Should state refrub in the title

It mentions so in the description, the people who are too lazy to read anything other then the title have only them self to blame.

The edit in the description by bp4917 is uncalled for

Actually it is not clear straight away it is refurbished. bp4917 is spot on that this is misleading.

It won't be a refurb from there, it'll be a customer return. I've had stuff in the past and never in the best condition.

Also surpried not a few comments claiming the wiiu's still over priced even at this price.
#11
Great deal if you can get it. I'm tempted with the Amazon 199 deal for the 8GB and two extra controllers and 3 games. by time you sell on the bits if you don't need them it would work out that the console is £140-£150. I still have my old Wii so have two spare motes.

I want a Wii U so bad but struggling to justify the purchase to my wife two weeks before our holiday lol

are there any clearance bargain stores in birmingham?

The good staff of clearance bargains will open up the box for you to check the contents and fire the thing up for you to check it is still working if you ask.

Nearest is Walsall. They have had this deal on themselves before now, but remember each of the 5 stores operate differently so don't expect the same stocks and discounts to coincide.
#16
I was in the Walsall one yesterday and they only had 10% off and not a single Wii U in, so I'd call up first.

Where can you get one new for £150? I'm not arguing the point or anything, as I still think £30 off is a deal, but I had a look around before I bought one and couldn't find a premium pack anywhere for that price.

Not necessarily true, whilst they do have customer returns I have had new stuff from the Walsall one before now. They also deal in past season catalogue stocks, my own Wii U Premium Mario/Luigi Bundle I got from Argos Clearance on eBay and it was new (scuffed outer box) marked as managers special with a previous season catalogue number.

I have not a clue what the hell you are talking about (perhaps because I have not seen the royal mail £20 coin thread) but what has that got to do with the Wii U and its price point?

cos due the the bs votes they cold, even with a bank price never less then £20 and a more than likely offer from westmister collection of £25 each coin so they can sit on them and sell after everyone else is out of stock for silly prices, oh well already sold all mine at £35 for perorders,

i just wont bother post anymore here with how this site works anymore, it just annoying

Did you bother to read the description or are you one of the 'I'm too lazy to read past the title/price' group?

If you had read the description the op has mentioned the box in the store says it's refurbished, I've copy and pasted the relevant sentence and even bolded the relevant word as you seem to have missed it(if you even read the description in the first place),

"I think most of the stock is ex Argos and is marked up as refurbished but I have never had any problem with previous purchases."

Yes this is on the 9th line of the description. So people can vote without even opening the page and will see nothing about it being refurbished.

As I said if people are being lazy it's their own fault not the ops.

There were 5 - 10 of each version left on the shelf (lego, mario and premium). I'm setting mine up right now :D

Good price but for me the sweet spot for a Wii U will be £100. I can't justify paying much for one since I only want it for Zelda, Smash Bros, Mario Kart and Bayonetta 2

Just bought the black 32gb super mario bros/super luigi for £143. It is refurbished (says on the box) and the console and controller are wrapped in plastic, looks brand new. The disc is immaculate and you get 1 years warranty with the store. I bought a reconditioned ps3 from here a couple of years back and that too was immaculate. I'm very happy with my purchase, thanks op :)

They also have white 8gb ones for £111.
