Is this game any good?

It's a great game in my opinion as are all of them, I haven't played it on Wii U, but I do own it on Origin.

Some reviews here for you.

Control ending for most satisfaction, other 2 endings are kinda poopy

Played on both the PC and the Wii U and the GamePad makes the gameplay much more fun (despite the Wii U version lacking in some things like the Citadel DLC).

With the GamePad, your squadmates finally have some tactical use other than cannon fodder. You can use the GamePad to direct them to flank or attack from the rear. And the map is useful to have handy as you can always (well, unless the game itself doesn't want you to) tell where the enemies are.

Funnily enough, Argos also have the "Special Edition" on the site at £39.99...

It is the same game though. Odd.

I thought that it was jut going to be shooter, but there's some quite strong RPG elements in there too. It wasn't really my thing to be honest - I don't have time to get into big games like this (which is in no way a criticism of the game) For £7 I'd certainly recommend giving it a try. Heat OP.:p

If you could access online multiplayer with 2 players locally (one playing on the gamepad) then this would have been priceless.

missed opportunity

I want this on Wii U... but how much do you miss out on if you don't play it on PC with the user data continuity across instalments?

The interactive comic lets you make some choices. Whilst it was quite detailed for ME1... the ME2 comic is rather disappointing;
only 6 choices...and if wrex lives he will not trust you. You have to choose between geth and quarian - no resolution.
You have like only 2 variations for who lives and dies on the suicide mission in ME2.

Basically, you won't have the full 'effect' when it comes to ME3 consequences

You miss out on quite a lot from the story side of things from not having played the first two. If you have the option I would recommend it before ME3. There's a quick recap at the start in the Wii U edition which is better than it not being there at all but there's still a lot it doesn't cover.
