Mass Effect3 plunges you into an all-out galactic war to take Earth back from a nearly unstoppable foe - and how you fight that war is entirely up to you. Groundbreaking interactive storytelling drives the heart-pounding action in which each decision you make could have devastating and deadly consequences. You are Commander Shepard, the only one who can save Earth from annihilation. But you are not alone. At your side is a team of elite, battle-hardened soldiers ready for your command. Flank enemies with your squad or take them down lone wolf. Use cover or go in guns blazing. Unleash tactical assaults from a distance or go toe-to-toe with enemies using devastating melee assaults and the deadly omniblade. Coming later this year, the war for Earth begins on Wii U.

Play Your Way - Choose a fast-paced cinematic experience or delve into a deeper, more choice-driven narrative. Either way, intense combat propels the action as you fight to unite a war-torn galaxy against a common enemy.

A Rich, Branching Story - Interactive storytelling delivers an experience unlike any other, with multiple outcomes determined by your choices. Mass Effect 3 will redefine what you know about emotionally engaging story.

Unleash a Customizable Arsenal - Build your character and squad with dozens of unique weapons and abilities, each with powerful upgrades and modifications.

Adrenaline-Pumping Gameplay - Feel every bullet impact, roll into cover, and unleash devastating heavy weapons in an intense and pulse-pounding action-shooter game.

Ruthless and Intelligent Enemies - Battle merciless enemies that will consistently challenge your best combat tactics and put you on the edge of your seat.

I'll bite, even though this is shopto.

Ah, this was the game rumored to run at 1080p, they gave up in the end lol

Great game even, worth the money if you've not played it before although I'd imagine that most people have

Never played this, loved the first two. Suppose it's time and the bad ending to the trilogy that's put me off. Heat for the price though.

Having played this on both the PC and the Wii U, I'd recommend this game at this price.

The GamePad's functionality changes the way you use your squadmates in the game. On the PC, they were nothing more than cannon fodder as you could only direct teammates based on line of sight. On the Wii U, I could quickly and seamlessly direct teammates to perform flanking or rear guard actions. Didn't really use the touch screen to activate squad or team mate powers much though.

The always-on map is a great addition (minor as it may seem) as it makes it much simpler to track enemy positions.

Does this game run a smooth 60fps or is it choppy?

What makes this special? DLC?

What makes this special? DLC?

To quote the review found on Shopto

"Well those hoping for the full Mass Effect 3 experience similar to what you have on the other consoles may be a little disappointed, it does contain all of the maps and extras for online but when it comes to the DLC all you get is From Ashes and the extended ending, with no sign of the more recent Omega or Leviathan releases"

I also seem to recall reading somewhere that the extra DLC would not be available. (could be wrong and I'm sure someone can correct me if so)

60fps? It's 30fps on all consoles.

Is this first or third person? I didn't really enjoy Deus EX, despite it being a popular game. I did quite like the look of the trailer for this though - looks very cinematic. Performance wise, if you want to get your nerd on, this Eurogamer article is pretty switched on "Xbox 360 takes the honours in terms of in-game frame-rates, Wii U is the runner-up while the PlayStation 3 version of the game generally lags behind both of them." http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-mass-effect-3-wii-u-face-off

The PS3 version was inferior to the 360 version with really poor frame rates in parts.. I just wondered if the Wii U version runs at the same steady frame rate as the 360 which is a solid 30fps.

For the most part, it matches the 360 version. A bit of slowdown during intense combat. I've played through both versions.

After a little hesitation, I've gone for it. I'll add it to my cellophane wrapped pile of cheap Wii U titles. Cheers HUKD!

Went for it too, thank you OP. Got it on PS3 but getting it on Wii U anyway... joins Batman AC, AC III and NFS: Most Wanted!

Unfortunately the only DLC available on Wii U are the ones like From Ashes listed above which are included on the disc. The main story DLCs like Leviathan and Citadel are missing and it doesn't seem like they're coming to Wii U. Mass Effect 3 is still a good game in it's own right but it's a shame that fans aren't going to be able to complete the trilogy on Wii U. So not really "special" at all next to the regular edition on other platforms.
