airport hmvs do have some good buys. i remember when the first psp was released they had an amazing deal on the giga pack with some games - worked out cheaper than just the value packs base price!

hm, doesn't seem too good to me tbh ;p

edit: hm, theres another deal up thats a lot dearer than this so I guess in theory its a good deal tho! tho personally I would only pay like £100 max for both! Thats my price i'd pay for it ;o and £80 max for a standalone wii, no more! ;p

Why is everyone attacking you comment, I agree! I'd only 20 quid for a PS3 and 5p for a bag of wotsits, fingers crossed eh?

You can only purchase this duty free if you are flying outside the EU ,plus you will have to deal with customs in your arriving destination plus the hassle of carting around with your trip away.

Any staff working in an HMV airport branch who could buy it would have to pay the VAT as they are not entitled to purchase duty free by dint of working airside.

OR you can just walk into asda and get it for £40 cheaper. cold.

Wrong. This is VAT free, not duty free. Duty is applied to things like cigrattes, alcohol and fuel. Not electrical products. Therefore, this deal is available to anyone, whether flying inside the EU or not. If you are flying within the EU, then there is a high limit on what you can and cannot bring in, as the idea is everywhere in europe is similarly priced. Furthermore, all staff working airside get VAT off when they purchase things, plus, they also get a 10% staff discount if they present their security pass.

...and You could actually read what the deal is again.... and then apologise to the OP for voting a great deal cold.

Being a smart ass only works when you are right.

HOT from me :)

That's what I was talking about, and I never apologise (unless i've seriously hurt someone's feelings or something - which in this case is impossible so youre being a bit too dramatic and severe. I do however admit that i should have read the post more carefully and not to have voted this cold. The website doesn't allow a change in votes does it?).

How much would a PS3 console cost if bought in these places?

super hot deal. enough to get anybodys lazy fat a$s into shape this summer. I got this package from toys r us about 3 months ago at £208. This is even less and more value for money. Anyone wanting one of these should go for it, obviously depending on how easy it is for them to go to a HMV tax free shop.

Sorry to disillusion you but it would be -13.04%.
You don't take 15% of the total price.
If you've got O level maths you might understand if not don't bother.

That 10% is only applicable to a hand full of stores and HMV is not one of them.
#24
Great, I suppose this applies to any HMV in Heathrow i.e. terminal 3?
Any idea if they have the Wii Sports bundle?

Thanks
#25
They also have wii & ea active for £156.
