Had one of these before, and they are very practical and useful when you want to... erm... make showers of sparks for about 20 minutes while you're bored. :oops:

You can get these type of things from many good Climbing a Rambling stores for vey little. These are basicaly flint strikers and are a step back to the days when we lived in caves and didnt have a box of matches or a lighter..... which are far easier, but I suppose they don't have the same novelty value.

I use to use these when i was in the scouts years ago.. really good just peel some silver birch off bunch it up make a lil whole one side, spark and voila a fire...
