Even cheaper than Wildstar were doing directly from their own sale price (from their email they sent around).

Was celebrated for its Aim Style MMO approach (rather than clickety click) plays beautifully

Eight playable races - Human, Cassian, Granok, Draken, Aurin, Chua, Mordesh and Mechari
Six classes - Warrior, Esper, Spellslinger, Stalker, Medic and Engineer

Been trying to investigate time prices too - and Zavvi have the 30 day card for £6.99 (when a 60 day card is £22.99?!)

Could work out REAL cheap!

Played it. Typical grind fest and surprisingly boring to someone who loves MMOs. The aiming that was supposed to be ground-breaking is as old as any BEV hacknslash from the 90s. Developers are desperate to try and mark their MMO out as something 'new' to draw players in, and they know how gullible the player base are which os why we've seen a spat of these 'new' targeting system efforts (TERA etc). Anyway, the PvP is far less intelligent than a typical tab target MMO, which is saying something; actually, the PvP is sh*t because of that AND because players no longer need to use their brain to learn animations/sounds - they get a big area laid out on the ground for them to know where to move from. Embarrassing, though they call it telegraphing (awesome new feature!) in their marketing speak.

Endgame was what nyerked people off the most though - it's hardcore-ish, like older WoW, (think long attunement type entry to 40 mans), which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the player base isn't up for it. They're used to smaller raids and faster reward.

They will keep patching and updating it etc, but it's doing the death mitigation dance now. Forums turning to wastelands and servers drying up. It will pick up again when it goes F2P. Maybe some sh*tty company like Gameforge will buy it and milk it with cash shop items, ala AION (which is actually a pretty amazing and complete MMO, especially for world PvP, if you can handle the grind).

Shame, had a lot of potential, like most other MMOs I guess. Though Wildstar really was the most promising of all in the past 5 years.
Wow, cool review dude. Thoughts appreciated and will certainly help.

What's AION?
Price matched Game Op.

Heat added.
