Wilko have a Pick n Mix on screws, washers and nuts and bolts. Fill and seal bag. £1.99 small, £2.99 large. I'm a tradesmen so buy my screws from places like screwfix however I always need to carry a few smaller screws in brass and chrome. Would definitely suite a diy job where buying small packs for £1 or large boxes for just a few needed screws seems a waste of money. This alterative is so much better. What a bargain! I'm going back soon to get some more, plus various sized washers and bolts. The 5p in photo Is for idea of size. This is not on offer just a good price for a bag of mixed fixings.

I just weighed them. 434grams for £1.99. I hope this link works https://flic.kr/p/q9wic3

These seem to be a bit more crunchier and metally than my usual Wilko Pick N Mix selection, maybe they're an acquired taste...

I been getting these are my local for the last six months or so and if you are really savy you can squeeze hell of a lot of washer and screws into the small bags.
#11
i work for them and loads of people take the treaded screw and put washers or bolts on the whole thing and then put them in the bag which gets them alot more in the bag.

Heat added... I'm always needing a only a few of mixed sizes for craft projects... Much appreciated post, thank you.

Does anybody know what these are made out of? needing to fix up my parrots perch but zinc is midly poisonous to them. Can't find anywhere what may be in these bits n bobs

they are soft steel like most screws i guess with what looks like the standard chrome like finish. That may be zinc? You can buy stainless steel screws from net or most diy places like screwfix so that may be better for you. Stainless steel is brittle and any strong force will cause the screw to round off or snap so go easy with them. Be fine for what you want.

Yes this is such good value compared to buying little packs of screw types, wish I'd thought of putting the screws and washers on the bolts, you could get loads in one of the £2.99 large bags

I build model railways for exhibition and am forever buying small quantities of hardware for this or that. I use a lot of roofing bolts, like coach bolts but with a Phillips type head, for joining baseboards. I USED to pay around £3 for a bag of 10... I just got 12, with large flat washers (20+) and a shed load of assorted screws, nuts and wing nuts for just £1.99, the price is still the same as in 2015 when this thread started! Yes yes, it's a regular price, but such a bargain that it needs to be noted!
