No this is real; have a look on Amazon website
But if you are saying England have no chance there is only Brazil and Spain who are probably better than England, and anything can happen in the World Cup

Buy this telly and then lay England to win on Betfair.
England are currently 7.4 on Betfair, or about 13/2 in 'normal' odds.

So....you buy your telly, the £650 for example and then lay perhaps £100 on England. If they do win the World Cup, you've lost £650 on Betfair but you have a £650 telly, if they don't win, you've got a £650 telly but you've just won £100 on Betfair. Simples.

any sucker that falls for this deserves it, theres no way england are going to win...after 1000 drunken hooligans arrested and a crappy football song that makes it to number 39 in the charts all english fans sit on their backside waiting for the next world cup = sad life!

That's actually brilliant. I don't think too many people know what laying is on betfair but if you do and you want a TV then do this.

thats what i was about to suggest, but to make equal winnings either way
take your £650 tv, lay £86 on england (total liability of £566)
scenarios:
England win: you get £650 off toshiba, lose on betfair £566, you gain £84
England don't win: you get £0 off toshiba but win on betfair £86, you gain £86 less 5%

so thats around 13% off whatever the outcome

I did think of going for the equal winnings option, but I figured anyone bright enough to know about laying on Betfair will do it their own way.

Yep, the Spanish branch of Amazon is offering to buy everyone a house if England win the World Cup :p

More chance of Shergar being found then coming back from the dead and winning the grand national than England winning anything. Bunch of overpaid ********
#33
Are you able to return the TV if it is unopened and england dont win?
#34
Doubt it, the DSR window would of long gone by then. I guess you could sell it elsewhere, eBay etc.
