Windows 7 home premium or professional for any students only £30! Just have to have a university/school/college e-mail adress. For some reason the link to the deal doesn't work so the link is http://www.microsoft.com/uk/education/studentoffer/default.aspx . All you need is a school/univeristy/college e-mail adress.

i cant rate it hot, many universities offer this to students and staff for free or cost of the media.... if you are a university student it is cheaper to check if your university has the msdnaa or a site licence which means you could buy it from the IS department or from the campus store..

At the Uni that I'm studying at the MSDNAA stuff is only available to students in the Computer Science faculty - nobody else gets it.

msdnaa is only one way that a university can give you access to ms software, there are site licences and more. in truth as a uni student you shouldnt ever need to pay more than £10 for windows, and maybe £15 for msoffice.

your uni probably has a site license or another discount scheme at least. the trick is finding the right person to ask there - and i used to be that right person in one of my old jobs :)

Yes a .open.ac.uk account is fine for this deal. You just need to be able to access your .ac.uk email account and click on the url link.
