Most probably the n270.

Hardly any difference between the two.

Most netbooks only come with 1gb of ram, and having set up over 200 toshiba n200 1gb netbooks running w7, i can say you won't be frustrated AT ALL waiting for pages to load.

I've had one of these for a while now, it's a great little netbook with plenty of storage and is great for taking to work with me. 1 Gb of RAM seems to be plenty although you can easily upgrade it to 2 Gb if you want. I seem to remember that it's part of Microsoft's licensing requirements for windows 7 starter that it only has 1 Gb RAM. 12 v power into the back as well so good for hooking up to your car if you need to recharge it.

How easy is it to upgrade the ram???

Otherwise Good deal.....plenty in stock in Bristol and just want I need

A small panel to unscrew underneath and replace 1Gb Simm with 2Gb simm, but to be honest, it doesn't really need it.

Says N270 and 1.66Ghz in the spec... is that an anomaly then?

Yes, and quite an important one if you want to upgrade the ram. The bus speed (and consequently max. ram speed) of the two models is different.

Rubbish :prop:

My wife has one (bought by me when they were at £199) and it's a cracking little machine.

Speed on the web is not an issue!
#18
Shame about the battery ..... up to 3 hours is not good, compared to recent models that give up to 11 hours.
I bought the ASUS 1005p last wek for £199 and it lasts for 6 - 7 hours on a charge.
If you want a portable Netbook .... battery life is a key issue ;-)

No call for that sort of crap. The majority of non-pedants understood what he meant.

ive got one and have had no problems with it (marshallah lol) to this day and i got it bout 2months ago and its good for going on facebook, youtube, watching movies e.t.c. its also got a very good design and built in webcam and the camera s very good for webcam but the microphone isnt as good but dont really use it as much and overall its a good laptop and you can get used to it very easily!

Hope this helped! :)

Bought it yesterday for my duaghter, she is well chuffed.

Nifty little machine, loads up real quick, internet is fine, youtube fine, movies fine.

Even at 10.2, screen would be a bit small for me, but she likes it. Speakers are ok.

Nice little bargain.

the only concern here is battery life, otherwise fantastic price and storage.

i'm looking for an N450 based netbook with 6+ hours battery, 250Gb, ram expansion, windows 7, wireless N for under £200 possible? some kind of guarantee would be super too.
