Hi Sam, can't see the offer only the 12 month subscription, am I missing something?
#3
No i just looked the offer is not available for this magazine as the first magazine has now come out. I think OP has make a mistake here.:-(
#4
For this website there are usually promo codes to be used so we will probably need that.

Bryan
#5
no but if you at the poker magazine it says 3 issues for £1 and there does not seem to be any promotion code needed for that ??? well i dont know never even heard of the site till now
#6
The site is really good, used to have my xbox 360 mag sub from there, but for the offer I had on that I needed a promo code so I am assuming we may need one for this offer.

Found it:

http://www.myfavouritemagazines.co.uk/home/mpurchase.asp?m=1029&src=W015

Hope this helps (if it does please leave me rep lol)

(The promo code in this case is W015)

- Sadly it is to late for issue 1, but you can start on issue 2 (March Issue - available 28/02/07). The first quater is £1, £9.99 after that, but there is no commitment so you can at cancel any time.

The promo copy of this also has 3x £1 off coupons in it. However, this magazine seems to be nothing more than a marketing mechanism for Microsoft. The articles target the very basic computer user and they are all heavily biased toward Windows Vista, making it seem like the only logical choice is to upgrade and that it's 100% perfect.

how do you go about cancelling this after 3 months if it becomes neceesary?

it says: Minimum subscription term is 12 months. If at any time during the first 60 days you are dissatisfied in any way please notify us in writing and we will refund you for all unmailed issues. Please supply your full name, address, subscription number (if you know it) and magazine name. Write to: Future Publishing, Unit 4, Lathkill Street, Market Harborough, Leicestershire, LE16 9EF.

so do you have to cancel fter 2 months ???
#16
There used to be a number on the website that you could phone up to cancel, but I dont seem to be able to find it.

Oh missed it was a first post  Thanks Bryan839 for pointing that out and Thanks to sam1970 too ;-)

The number to cancel is 0870 8374722.

I wrote it down when I had my xbox 360 mag sub with them a few months ago, I wasnt tied into a 12 month contract, but maybe they have changed their terms since then.

Bryan

Also 01858 438794 - from saynoto0870.com - havnt tested that number myself though.

A good mag! - I got copy for 99p from WH Smiths-coupons in that also for £1 off.

I had a wee shot of Vista in PC World-looks very good :-D

I just need to keep looking for deal on laptop! missed out on that gateway one at play recently (maybe good thing after feedback?)

Ive seen this ACER one @ comet for £500http://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/product.do?sku=362964&tab=specification#spec

and this at tesco for £500
http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.200-4597.aspx

both have core 2 duo and 1GB ram.

anyone seen any other good deals?
#21
i've got one for WHS yesterday, but i don't think it's worth for 99p
#22

What did you expect from a "Windows Vista" magazine????
#23

#24

It's 99p eveywhere, you don't need coupons for it, but there are coupons in if for £1 off future issues.

They are in store in any good newsagents for 99p yeah.I got my copy from Borders earlier :)
#27
The point with the original post, is that you get three issues for £1 delivered to your door :)
#28
YOU GET AS MENTIONED ABOVE 3 * 1 off vouchers for the 2nd , 3rd & 4th issues... so the next 3 issues would be just 2.99 insetad of the usuall 3.99
#29
No need to shout jackvdbuk :) That point has been made above ;-)

It's a good thing it targets the basic computer user alchemista, as it's a big part of where the interest in it will be.

Yep, I bought the first issue in Morrisons the other day (it's £1 for the first issue btw) and it's a bit of a Vista love fest but it had a few interesting bits in it and with the Quidco cash back it's worth a read for 3 issues.

Best part though was seeing that one of my University lecturers is on the writing staff!

So if you were actually intending to buy this mag it would be sensible to start the subscription from 5th Issue (June 07)
Which would mean Issue 1 £0.99
Isssues 2,3 and 4 £2.99 each
Finally started by sub for £1

Then get ur £5 back from quidco in 3-4month
First 7 copies for under £6! Think i will of decided if i like it by then! :whistling:
#32
I presently get Windows XP and the ad page in this months copy says if you want to switch over to the Vista mag contact them to make a seamless switch over, might just do that after the offer runs out. Thanks OP

I think wizardgirl is telling the truth mine hasn't tracked and I doubt it will.

Shame though

May still keep it just for the 3 issues to see what it says about vista.
