Just popped into Lidl and picked up a set of these for my car. Front windscreen only, pack of 2 for £3.99, they fit perfectly and work a treat

Picked up one of these yesterday. Conveniently the back of each pack has a long list of cars that size is compatible with AND rather cleverly they sell at least one 'mixed' pair where you have a bigger and a smaller blade making up your windscreen pair - eg 21" with wind deflector and 19" without = suited to my car :)

Though if you've got a rearscreen wiper it'd be worth getting the tape measure out on that - as I guess some 'wiper snobs' may prefer to use these cheaper blades on their rear screen with its far more occasional usage needs.
These actually feature on the website :) Added a direct link- thanks for your post
I got some of these last year and fitted them at MOT time this year. They are OK but the carriers are plastic not metal like on more expensive types. One of the clips that holds the blade was broken when I removed it from the box, I had to cut the blade down to fit in the Bosch wiper that it was already on the car. The damage may have happened after I bought it - the box knocked around in the boot for a while and then in the workshop until I fitted them - but they are obviously not very strong.
Worst quality-had them for 1month and 7 days now, gone completely:-(
wilkinsons do them for 1.99 i think...

Your Lidl must have put them out VERY early ??? These are a Thursday 10th April+ special (while stocks last) at everyone else's branch!

Just opened my mixed pair to have a look (bought them as spares at that price) and the mixed pair I have are better cosmetic design than the last pair I had from either Lidl or Aldi. The design of the two blades is consistent. The main structure/supports are metal (the long spoiler is plastic, clip-on insert is plastic, and blade rubber of course) and the main metal strut/'shroud' runs 100% of the length of the blade which is more attractive than my existing wipers anyway; though I guess if the end of the blade were to become detached the end of the shroud is more likely to scratch the screen than one that ends far earlier. (ie The 21"/19" pair are NOT exactly as shown on the Lidl website picture.)
these will be of horrible quality, and I am pretty sure u can get these for less in tesco.

£2.99 for a pack of wipers there last time. But also horrible quality.

Are you sure about that? Lidl's offers are regional, and it won't show you them until you tell it where you are.
Wilkos are certainly cheaper (£1.49 each!!) and very good...I have had them on for over a year and am only just thinking about replacement
Sometimes its expensive to buy cheap....
A friend bought something like this for 99p a pair, and it's certainly worth no more than that!

yes they do, I have had a few pairs from there, good for spares.
I have given up on cheapo blade - as I found they all start to squeak/screech within weeks.

Honestly I think you are better off searching for the best deal on branded blades. Worth it in the long run.
Oh dear, probably one of the key areas you don't want to compromise on quality, spend an extra £15 and get a pair of Bosch wipers! They will last for ages and actually clear the windscreen! I could never ever put these on my car....
