For this price you can replace them weekly!
Bit too extreme for me but maybe useful for someone anyway!

Are you walking around looking at wiper blades
#2
Not any more! Wilko really does the job! ;-)

yeah I'm gonna get the Wilko ones
#4
I bought a pair of wipers at Poundland thinking they were a pound but actually got charged two pounds, one pound each.

Wilkinson don't do the longest ones.

got one last Saturday 22" is the longest they had £1.97 seems OK but not for all cars had to change the clip, Poundland had only had 16" ones by me but were universal with all the clips

Same in poundstretcher.
#8
Bought some from poundshop before and they lasted a month, then went to Wilkinson 1.99 a pair and still going strong, so for me its cold, but only based on previous experience.

Voted hot but I tend to stick to Bosch blades myself, I know they're 10x the price but well worth it :)

yep, you get what you pay for. I bent a pair of these trying to fit them. rubbish.

prefer the Flat Aero blades personally. more expensive but last longer, make less noise and clean smoother. worth paying more IMO. this is a good deal though if you just got a run around car

Because 9/10 they wont last the week

Seriously nip to your local Jaystock etc, Wipac blades cost what? £3 each off them they are of great quality, never had anyone complain about them

Edit: I should add the newer cars are all starting to use aero blades, some can be modded to work with aero blades but not many

I won't vote because yes, its cheap, but I bought these earlier in the year, worst blades I've ever had, quite dangerous actually, was very disappointed, but as mentioned, you get what you pay for!
#14
Cold because they are not aerotwin compatible. ;)

wouldn't it be a pound in poundland, not 99p?

I bought mine for my Ford Focus from an Ebay seller, they were OEM and really good.
Tip: wipe blade with vinegar on a kitchen towel to keep blades clean and more importantly supple.
#17
Not a bad deal. But these wipers are only for older **** cars. Most modern cars have flat blades.
#18
Wouldn't dream of using cheap wiper blades, well not on the front at least.

unknown brand. better to pay the same from a more established shop like poundland

Yes saw that on tv myself-good idea !

This reminds me.. I need some more for my car. Have some Halfords ones and they're bloody awful. They just smear the water all over the screen rather than clearing it.

What, £52 a year! :p

Not voting either way but perosnally I've found from experience that cheap blades = smears, judder, and short replacement time. At £2 a pair(as has been suggested) I would think much better off buying Bosch for an extra tenner or so, they run nice & smoothly and last for ages.

By the way, it's sometimes surprising how much OEM wiper blades are, it actaully worked out cheaper for me to buy genuine Audi(direct from a dealer) than Bosch the last time, worth checking.

auto shop near mine, sell Bosch wiper blades at £5 each.

they are fantastic.
#26
are you for real do you mean replace them weekly for an annual cost close to £52
#27
Can anyone vouch for the cheaper (non Bosch) aero blades, such as these: http://preview.tinyurl.com/3gm2v6m (eBay)

They fitting clips do fit my Astra (1997-2004).
#29
Bought poundland ones they smeared and were rubbish
#30
I like Tesco ones. Bosch OK if you can get them cheaply enough but not worth the premium. Wouldn't bother with £1 or 50p blades. Can make a mess of your windscreen if it all goes horribly wrong.

no, you're rubbish if you can't fit wiper blades.
#32
Where are people getting bosch ones from. Halfords were quite expensive last time I looked.

Also doesn't every car model have slightly different sizing?
#33
Is it worth getting the retro fit flat blades for my fiesta.
#34
Very cheap and therefore hot, however these £0.99 pence windsceen wipers can be found in other shops such as Wilkinsons and they don't last very long. Also the screws (metal materials) used to keep them together usually start dripping rust after a few weeks.

You can get a full set of blade wipers on ebay for £9 and will last several years as a opposed to a few months.
#35
These are as useless as t1ts on a boar

I bought some Tesco ones a while back. The ones with the inbuilt spoiler.
I took them back because the were LHD ones, and so were "upside down" when fitted to the car.

You could've just turned them upside down so they were the right way!

No, they're asymmetrical, and only fit one way.
By being upside down, the spoiler has the effect of lifting them off the windscreen, rather than preventing them from lifting.

Cant beat genuine Wipers IMO, Yes they are more expensive, but they last 3 times as long and dont tend to break. Bosch ones are middle of the road, usually last between 6 months-1 year. I still have the original ones on my mondeo and its now 2 and a half years old, and they are still fine.

I wouldnt trust these wipers at all. Chances are they will break when you need them most, or worse the rubbber come off during a downpour and leave a great scratchmark accross your windscreen (happened on my old peugeot 306 - had to replace the windscreen)
