Voted hot but these had lots of problems during the recent BDO world championship with darts not sticking in the board etc. The Blade 3 was a good board but still prefer the Unicorn Eclipse Pro

Blimey, great price...couldn't resist!

...haven't played in years and so thought I'd get some arrows aswell (...might be useful eh :) ) Was looking at the Phil Taylor Gold Medal ones, probably 'cos they're so cheap, but they come in different sizes...how do I know what size I am??

Nooooo. You need to buy Tungsten darts. They are heavier (which makes them easier to throw) but thinner (easier to stick 3 in small areas like trebles etc. Argos often have some on offer

Size and shape is a personal prefference

No, that's a Blade 3, not a Blade 4 - the clue is in the product names!

WOW! Just ordered 5 for the club i run. These are by far the best boards available and at this price you really can't go wrong. HOT HOT HOT

I was going to get one of these before. I was having difficulty getting an oche though. All I wanted was a metal bar or something to screw into the floor but I couldn't find one. The rubber mats were too expensive also. Whats the best and cheapest way of making an oche? Any Suggestions?

I use duct tape for my oche :)
#21
Bit OT but has anyone tried using soft tip darts/boards? Looking at getting one for the 5 year old, don't want him to use real darts yet!

At the club I run we have 3 metal oches and 3 wooden oches - the metal one we had made for us by a local fabrication company (free as we knew them) - the wooden ones though.... Go to B&Q and buy a nice sized length of wood and saw it to the size you want! Drill a couple of holes and secure it to the floor. Simples!

Price has gone upto £31.03.

Unicorn Eclipse << this.

Totally false. Unicorn's quality control on there boards is terrible and it's more a lottery than anything as to whether or not you get a good board. The best board currently out there currently is the Bulls Advantage II.

It's not all the board's fault, it's just the way certain players throw their darts and how they arrive at the point of contact. Also he sisal is packed tight in these boards so that they last a very long time and need a little breaking in. At the tournament they were obviously using new boards (as they should) and that gave no chance for the boards to get softened up. In the long run though if someone's using this board they should definitely get there money's worth, but again personally I'd pay the extra and get the Bulls :)

To be honest you're best off using soft-tip darts on a normal board (they do stick in on softer boards like the Winmau Pro SFB and Diamond.) Otherwise you spend half your time picking the darts up off the floor because they don't always stick in the electronic boards. Good luck with it!

**** missed it :(

For those who have missed this, Argos is selling this for £19.99 at the moment which is not quite as good a deal but still good for this dartboard.

They are also selling the Blade 3 for £14.99 where they have stocks
