I've been told this is better than Blade IV - reserved one at the local store, lots more available.

* Non-bounce-out dartboard with staple-free system.
* Endorsed by the British Darts Organisation.
* As seen on BBC TV at the Lakeside World Championship, Winmau World Masters.

Do you know why this is meant to be better then the IV? and was the IV the one that keept having the darts bouncing off the board in the world championships even though it has thinner metal? lol

It's been over a month since the WDC was on the telly and the interest/impulse buying has perhaps slowed and driven prices down?

Great price for a great board.
#10
reserved one, thanks OP, anyone got any deals on some darts to go with it?!
#11
Good deal, going to stick with my old Unicorn Bristle but if I did need a replacement this would be snapped up straight away, heat added :)
#12

#14

lol at the blade 4 comments. Had one bounce out since getting mine and I use it every day.

Not as if we have pros on here :P
#19
OOS IN Perth therefore bought the blade 4. In all honestly wish I hadn't as it's brick hard and the darts struggle to stay in the board. And before anyone suggests !!! I play with 26gram darts with sharpened points and don't throw a soft dart. Winmau boards are far superior to Unicorn boards.

If you fancy a ride to Seaham they have 3 there.

Whoever told you it was better than the Blade 4 is talking out of their a**e.

3 weeks solid play on my blade 4(£20 in Argos) and I'm yet to have a single bounce out.

If going for the 4 I'd ask for a look at it when they hand it over the counter as you can get 'duff' ones that are rock hard, but mine thankfully isn't.

No Blade 3 in stock near me.

This one is £14.99 how does it compare?

have bent the wire 3 times now on these boards due to the thickness - a dead on hit impacts the wire into the board raising other areas out.
#25
Hot if you can find one.

Bought a blade 4 last week and very happy with it. No bounce outs thus far.

That one has staples to hold the wires so expect more bounce out. The bull is surrounded by them if you look closely.

Has anyone tried any of the Winmau Darts Apps on the iphone? Downloaded Pro Darts trainer the other day? Pretty good!

Not just myself who doesn't like , most players I spoke to at a recent BDO event said the same thing. Including one who has just won his tour card for the PDC who practices on a blade 3 before playing on the Unicorn Board in PDC Comps where the trebles on the unicorn board are bigger.
suspended#32
Possibly a silly question.....

Is this board only or does it include darts?

Board only but the boards that come with darts are usually brass darts anyway which are crap.

buy a load and sell em on amazon or ebay
#36
Reserved one, and actually received the Blade 4 when I collected it.

Not sure if this is a good thing or not based on some comments in this thread, but anything is better than the 20+ year old board I was using previously!
#37
I've just started practicing on mine. No bounce-outs yet :)
