Your right they arn't very good, but I don't think anyone is expecting them to be. I bought this before and got a set of seperate darts.

302/9538 from Argos reduced from £20 to £13.32 - 23g 95% tungston. Had a few throws of them and they're good quality.

PDC ftw :p

Any good price rubber surrounds going? I can only see them online at about £30. Living in rented accommodation so don't want to make an extra 4 holes with the cabinet.

Cheers

Smoking hot deal. Just reserved this and a decent set of darts. Been after a good quality set-up for ages but was too tight to pay the top dollar! Cheers OP!

These were £24.99 before Christmas.

What ever you do, DO NOT buy the £24.99 Phil Taylor Board, Its no where near as good quality as this one!!! We bought both to see which one was the best and when we opened the Phil Taylor one it just looked cheap and tacky, even the Cabinet is rubbish on the Phil Talyor.

Oh and its the latest upto date Blade 3 board as well (Newer than the display picture)

I bought these darts as well -

I used a set of normal style flights from the "Winmau Navigator 26g" on the "Phil Taylor Tungsten Dart Set" and they are great

I'm after a rubber surroud too. Checked the usual places dartscorner.co.uk & red dragon darts & they are £25-£30 - Quite expensive for a round piec of rubber! Gonna just wait until i find one cheap.

The Winmau blade 3 is a quality board, got one myself - no bounce-outs because of the blade wires

Cheap / free solution is an old car tyre cut in half ;-) My dad said thats what all the pubs used to use years ago :)

Great deal, also the board on its own is great value. Great find.

Rubbish Deal, board, cabinet and darts...:x

You should go for the proper PDC one from Phil Taylor, Cabinet and Darts.
Got this last year for under £20. It is £24.99 now. Perfect.

Everyones entitled to their opinion I suppose, but I wouldn't call it a rubbish deal. The poster below bought both to compare the two and I can also clarify that the phil taylor ain't anywhere near as good.

you are joking arent you? We got both and the quality of the Phil Taylor board etc was a joke compaired to the Winmau kit!! It went right back into the box and right back to Argos!!

Oh yea and the staples in the Phil Taylor board are HUGE!!! You have more chance of hitting a staple than a triple / double LOL

The Darts that come with the kits realy are crap so make sure you buy a good set of darts as well
#23
I got the same Winmau set before crimbo for £24. Good deal indeed even at £27 ...

Much better than the other set mentioned.

As to the poster about the rings ... At £25-30, you're probably looking at the memory foam type material rings ... Not straight rubber, it heals and reseals itself after the darts removed so doesn't look like a sive after a while lol ...
#24
Got the Phil Taylor set and happy enough with it. Disappointed to find out the Winmau board has no staples though.

Anyway, Winmau branded board surround for £26.90 http://www.newitts.com/product/IT033385/Winmau_Dartboard_Surrounds.htm. Also, cheap and chearful darts for the kids/beginner for £3.33 delivered http://www.newitts.com/product/IT008321/Winmau_Neutron_Darts.htm

thanks - reserved for pick up tomorrow! . . Limited stock in Aberdeen !!

My board has no staples, but it does have about two dozen cameras in it. I haven't hit one yet.

The Lads!!!!

The BEST currently available dart board is the Bulls Advantage (WDF) - if you can't afford that then the Blade 3 (BDO) is the 2nd best option, and as the board alone is often £30 - £35 this is a cracking deal.
The 3rd best board is the Unicorn Pro Eclipse (PDC) - all three boards have non-round spider wire, but only the Bulls has a white spider, and the sisal is much cleaner and denser.
I have all three boards lined up in my hall (along with a Nodor), I've had multiple copies of the Blade and the Eclipse, and my Bulls has lasted at least 3 times as long as either - though it was about £10 dearer. And I've been playing solidly for a few hours a day for the last few years.

The board in the Phil Taylor package isn't the Pro Eclipse, but some cheap bit of tat that I'm surprised the Power has put his name to - of the two Argos deals the Winmau Blade 3 is far better.
GAME ON :D

Can't comment on the cabinet, but the Blade III board is one of the best on the market. My dad has bought dozens of them over the last few years for dart tournaments at his club. They last better and they get fewer complaints from the dart teams than with any other board they've used (including the eclipse). You could always write "Phil Taylor" on the blade III with a felt tip pen and post him a tenner.

We brought one of these for a gift for my partner who is a regular darts player, and is was very pleaseed with the quality of this board and even i have used it and is alot better that any of the ones we played on with our darts team! Darts that came with it are pretty good quality too :)

EXACTLY what happened to ours. Great board though. Just bought the Phil taylor dart set for 11.99 from JJB.

This is a quality dartboard.
