Hope this has not been posted already. I am useless at the search facility on this site!

Anyway, this is generally around £10-£12 bottle so £6.93 is a bargain.

Went into my Asda on Saturday and found that they'd replaced 80% of the tills with those self-service jobbies. Is this happening across the country? Is this a trend that all supermarkets are following?

What's the difference between winter pimms and normal pimms, I've only had the regular pimms on a nice summer's day :)

Ordinary Pimms is "No 1 cup" which is gin based. Strange as many non-gin drinkers like it. You can also beef up a jug of Pimms and lemonade (with oranges, lemons, apples, strawberries, cucumber and mint) by adding an extra slug of gin.

I think James Pimm thought he was on to a winner with the gin based "No 1" so came up with 5 other recipes based on other spirits. "No 3 cup" was brandy and it appears the "Winter Pimms" is based on brandy so might be the same recipe. I don't think it was very successful when it was launched so maybe it has now been tweaked!

i ruddy hope not. there are a few at my local asda, and if there are, i dunno, normally functional human beings on them its not bad. but there are too many complete and utter f*ckwits allowed to use them, people who would save time by queing up for a till.

too many times i've been stuck behind morons who take every item out of their basket, stare at it like they've no idea why they've bought it and slowly look for the barcode. I could punch somebody. way to make a 4 till express line SLOWER than an actual human based till.
