Great price. So cheap that users can put new ones on every two months if they wanted to AND it would still be cheaper than buying Bosch from Halfords.

IMHO wiper performance over that 1Yr period would also be better.

I found these somewhat useless when I tried them. Can't deny it's a good price though.

I bought the Tesco wiper blades for £1.50 a while ago and they work perfectly. Don't do what I did though and buy 2 sets of the same size only to discover that my left wiper blade is 2 inches shorter than the driver-side wiper blade. Doh

these are a great price, only problem is my car (audo A4 2002) has a built in clip and does not have the traditional sort, hence i pay halford prices :(

can anybody know where i can get wiper blades for a similar price for Audi A4 (2002)

I have the aero flat type wipers on my car. I bought the normal 24" wipers from Tesco and removed the blades. It was an easy job to replace the old ones with the new blades and to trim them to size. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eE1ITsXohnM
If this can work for you it will be a big saving.

got these for my accord last time. very good price but very disappointing performance, will give them 3/10. I would not recommend them.
voted hot for price.

Rubbish blades in my honest opinion. These wipers from inferior manufacturers are a hard rubber that soon loses their edge and leaves marks wheras a good wiper is soft and flexible and doesn't do ones head in when screeching from side to side.

Mine went rusty after 2 months, but they worked well with no schreeching noises

Before I bought these the original ones which came on my car lasted about 4 years so I would get better quality ones & just clean them regularly with a dash of vinegar

Thats a reduced to clear label, so this is probably old stock that they didn't sell and now trying to shift. Will be VERY store specific as individual reductions like this are done manually within each store.

I've bought the Tesco wipers in the past, also £1.50 while clearing stock. They worked OK to start with but started smearing before long, and also rusted quite severely!! However the last set of wipers I bought were a stupid price from a garage 2 months ago, and I'm getting a squeaking noise from them, really not worth it. Even if you change the tesco ones fairly regularly, for the money I'd say they're worth it.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. Unfortunatley, mine are the flat blade type so can not do. I tried to get the aero blades but they fitting is completley different. Hence i (reluctently) bought the bosch make. For some strange reason, these do not clear my windscrene at all, leaving only smears and not even making contact with the top and bottom of the screen. I will try to use some vinegar to clean the blade but as i said they are new blades, put on in september and the car has been sitting in my drive for the last few months (been started every 3 days to keep the battery topped up). Would love to change them to the aero kit if there was a way.... look out for my next comment where i will put pics up of the wipers and screen and clip.

I don't understand at all, you say you have flat blades, the youtube video shows how to refill flat blades but you say you can't use it as you have flat blades, then you say you will change them for Aeros "Aerotwins?" which are flat blades.

Which colchester Tescos was it please?

Cheap wiper blades are rubbish, I only ever use Bosch wiper blades, they do a good job, don't rust and last a long time.

do not bother/take a risk. the mechanism is weak and broke off at 70 in the rain. I thought it was down to me until I spoke to someone at work who experienced similar

Bought cheapie blades from Wilkinson a while back but the wipers fitting was slightly larger for the connecting part in my car. Have bought Bosch on ebay since then, but they didn't last as long as I expected either, starting to make noise probably due to Snow weather over the past couple of years

I bought 2 for my c3 the other day for £3 each and was happy with them, so this is a great price.

Poundland sell 2 wiper blades for £1.

They are cheap.... but also shocking! They did pass an MOT test though lol.

Got these before and in last years winter the cheap plastic turned brittle and snapped, off flew the wiper and girlfriend shouting down the phone to come fix it.

Crap

Indeed, why people pay thousands of pounds on their cars and then fit cheap tat wipers is beyond me.

False economy, if they snap off and damage your windscreen that isn't going to be cheap.

Terrible blades, don't last long at all.

Go for Bosch or Trico blades, if you go to your local motor factors and ask they should be able to order them for you.
Pay a bit more, but nowhere near Halfords prices.

have to agree, limited quality, watched one get squashed by another car after it flew off on the A9, lol

but at the price as a quick fix it's hard to argue even as spares to keep in the boot :)

These cheap blades are rubbish. They're okay for the wifes car but I wouldn't touch them.
#27
These wipers in my opinion are pointless, they go floppy very quick, and are prone to rusting after a few months. If you want premium go for bosch, if you want the best go for PIAA - They last years and give a 100% perfect wipe. Sadly they don't do the aero kind though.

Ahh. I use flat ones that fit on the hook arms, BOSCH Aerotwin are good but very expensive, Valeo X-TRM are not so good and even more expensive, then I found some 180˚ branded ones on ebay (Have a 180˚ Aerotech logo on the ebay image), They are identical to the BOSCH albeit there is just a blank rectangle where they should say BOSCH. They were under £7 delivered IIRC.

i had these and they went streaky very quickly (about 2 months into having them) probably ok if you only use your car every now and then but not too good if you use everyday. Got a set of bosch blades from ASDA for £5.99 so will see how long they last.

Im thinking of getting my entire wiper arm changed to take advantage of readily avaliable woper blades which dont cost an arm, a leg and a pen*s!!!!

They wont know!!!!!

Try wiperblades.co.uk - have used them in the past and their own make flat blades perform very well indeed. Not as cheap as Poundland, but they perform well and last well.

For what it's worth I've never had wipers blades that have still performed well after 2 years and I've tried Bosch, Trico, Valeo, Champion et al. Vinegar only works up to a point, but if the rubber has started to harden (which it inevitably will) it won't clean as effectively.

You will be suprised how well some of these wiper blades can last, I have had one one for almost 3 years!!!

But the rubber does harden due to the atmosphere and reacting with the plastercisers in the actual rubber blend. Thats why some of the cheaper blades dont last as long.

Well you've done better than me there then - but then I know I'm pretty fussy about having a clear windscreen and I will replace my blades as soon as I notice the slightest drop off in performance, while I know others will continue to use blades until they literally fall apart.
