not sure what you mean by `the normal wired one costs more than this" ? is this not the normal wired one?

I wont go back to wired without a fight ;)

I have a couple of wireless controllers and the 2 chargers, play & charge and quick charge kit. Although I only use p&c when all my rechargeable batteries are dud.

Pack of batteries (12) from the pound shop does the trick

There's more benefit to having the wired controller.

You have to remember that this will work on the pc and tbh that makes it wonderfull. I have an xbox pad for the pc and its the best controller for the pc you can buy so its a hot from me

Game sells a wired and a wired + for Windows, so I figured the other one doesn't work on a pc.

EDIT: so do amazon:

ordered for the PC.

I prefer Wireless + adapter myself.

Not bought one myself, but looks like a good price for a wired controller.
#10
These pads also work on the xbox 360 as a regular pad, really good price hot!
#11
Definitely the best PC pad, although the one I have only works with my PC and isn't detected when I connect to xbox? Just sits there with the green light flashing.
#12
I can confirm that this is a great game pad for the PC.
Cheapest I've seen, too.
#13
Great. Just built a new machine. This will come in handy. Thanks for posting!

I find it strange people vote cold not for the price , but due to their opinion ( Normally No basis bar their own judgement mind )

Can't see how if it's the cheapest available how you could class it as cold due to preference.....
#15
Hot from me great for the pc. A wireless one requires an additional dongle
#16
So I can use a wired one on my Vista laptop then? Hmm, that'd be useful for my N64 emulator...

I was going to buy one of those dongles for the PC so you can connect a wireless 360 controller, but might try my wired cable first.
#17
Wireless are a little iffy. The receivers tend to fail after a few months. This is way better.

??? Ive had a 360 since launch and both pads still work perfectly

I went and bought a stupid Mad Catz controller as I couldnt find a wired pad anywhere. Great deal!

Did you sync it by any chance?

Even when used with a charge cable the wireless 360 controller still communicates wirelessly. No data is transferred through the actual cable.

Thats because he's talking about the wireless receivers for using with a PC, the controllers and using them with a 360 is fine.

We're talking PC not 360. Can you see a USB wireless receiver on your xbox?
BTW - you had a xbox360 since launch and it didn't die on you yet? have you been using it at all?

This is a good price for the WIRED CONTROLLER. Don't compare it to a wireless one for crying out loud. If you want to use the 360 controller with a PC and don't want to gamble with the separate receiver (lots of reports of them blowing fuses) then this is the way to go. Don't compare apples with oranges people!

Thanks for this, just ordered it, as was going to order it from amazon until i seen this was cheaper
