May get this for both my 360 and PC usage. Hmm... Shame I had to return a faulty one I got off ebay at £18. :( I'll need to think more on this one.

been looking for one of these at a reasonable price for ages thanks

it may be worth pointing out, that charging them thrpugh the PC's USB port can cause them to malfunction according to some reviews :)

Interesting point Darkblade as, the first thing I did when I got mine was, plug it into a usb slot on the pc. It failed to charge and also wouldn't charge when connected to the Xbox 360 either. But it does beg the question, why would this happen??? The whole point of a Universal Serial Bus is to be...universal!

arrived today, quality!!!

Well, it arrived and by god it was the worst piece of junk I've ever owned. I don't mean the look/design of it, no, I mean the mic quality. This may be acceptable to some Xbox 360 owners, but there's no way in hell I'm going to allow something that sells for £23 to make me sound like I'm on a phone in a third world country phoning in a report to the BBC! Seriously, that's what people I talked to actually said it was like. Especially important to note is that my friend's mic sounds amazing and it cost him 99p!

Do yourself a favour, if you need wireless, spend a tenner on a wireless converter pack and some rechargeable batteries. It'll end up cheaper and you'll be able to use any mic with it. I can't believe people say this headset is worth the money. As you may be able to tell, I'm pretty shocked.

Thought I'd post this in order for people here to get an idea of what it's like. In fact, I've uploaded a sound clip to show it off - http://www.mediafire.com/?g45p63whnw6gok7

People accept this? Here's the kind of quality I'm used to hearing from my friend's 99p mic - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20NRuTl8AUE

I'll let you be the judge.

well, I have been using mine all weekend with crystal clear sound and no problems at all.

Maybe you got a defective one which I am sure Amazon would replace/refund without any problems! Can you provide a link for this amazing 1£ microphone with replacable batteries and 10£ converter pack that is better than an official Microsoft product ???

Just so I get what you're saying, you've heard your own voice played back to you? And it sounded better than my recording does? Also, was this pc or xbox?

The 99p mic is a friend's that he says he got in a pound shop and it doesn't need batteries. As for the wireless pack, just check ebay for a cheap wireless pack + rechargeable batteries. And then check Maplin for the jack converter between 3.5mm to 2.5mm.
Failing that, you can get high quality mic headsets made for office work that will only cost £6 off ebay.

Whilst I agree with you, the mic quality leaves a lot to be desired (and so does the mono speaker), it's the freedom of wires your paying for in a small device (that seems to want to rip your ear off).

I'm hanging on to mine since it did what I wanted it to do, work whilst I run to the toilet to be told "oi, we're starting our match, where have you went?". Reply: *sound of water being poured inconsistently*. xD Good times!
