got one of these in the shed, not bad for the money. Noise level is good and shocking enough to make the wife jump when she forgets to disarm it. Remote is direct line of sight not radio but what would you expect for the money. I hate battery only devices but this has the ability to use a power adaptor, as can be seen in the image above, in addition to the batteries which serve as a backup (i hope).

Don't think I'd rely on this to protect my house, lol, I can just see somebody ripping it off the wall and stamping on it to shut it up. Good idea I suppose.....maybe it'd be ok for something non valuable, such as put it in the fridge and when your porker of a wife/husband sneaks down for a midnight snack, bingo!!!!

The PIR ones are the best which phone your mobile, for around £30. I prefer this in our office compared to the manweb house alarm which cost £600. You can put them on silent and within 20 seconds it dialing up to 3 chosen mobile numbers giving me a warning.
My partner had a house which was broken into 7yrs ago the police took 1hr + to get there.
You do need a landline tho so not as portable.

So £30 then, not £6.99 like the one in this deal.
