 Wouldn't want to try and make 1 for a quid. Let alone pay for the lorry to deliver it and a shelf stacker to shelfstack it as well as make it. How do they make a profit:thinking:

'Go to deal' in this case would mean going out of your house and going to the store.

End of line, or stock that has faults. The manufacturer has either made their money on other sales or are wanting rid of remaining stock and sell cheap.

Has anyone ever purchased audio equipment from poundland that worked? I think I'll give it a wide berth from previous experience

I had that one! Mine was Tesco branded (and a fiver), worked but lasted less than a week (the power/volume knob snapped off, didn't use excessive force).

Keep your receipt :-)

Could be a real bargain.
Takes 5 x AAA batteries, so should give a reasonable output.
Heat added

How to make a profit.:-
A franchisee of a well known brand refilling ink cartridges would pay £10 for 1 litre of ink that works out at 1p per ml.
An ink cartridge would hold 10ml of ink so that is 10 p
It is sold for £4.99. Profit = £4.89
Another holds 38ml of ink and is sold for £18.00. Profit = £17.62
When a company say it is running at a loss it only means it is not making as much profit that it wants.
If a company does not make a profit it can not exist.
That is the beginning and how all companies make a profit.
Of course expenses come out of the profit.

Speaksers sounded pretty thin, but OK for in the bathroom (you can't expect much for this price)

speaker unit is not taking 5x AA's

wireless sender takes 2 and speaker 4 (I think, mine died ages ago)

Haha, "how much does it cost?"

I think he may have meant which branch did you find it in, but thats a weird question too, as it makes no odds as 99% of the time it will not be your local

seems like a decent deal voted hot.

I've never trusted Poundland since they didn't reduce their prices and rename themsleves "97.87PenceLand" when Vat went down to 15%. :whistling:

Its well worth a pound, its a nifty little gadget. The (mono) sound wont win any awards (it sounds like a decent hand held radio with the same volume level) but it does what it says on the tin and its worth a lot more than a pound, the built in FM radio is a nice extra.
It also works with the big pack of (non Alkaline) cheap batteries from poundland.
Plugged my MP3 player in and worked as soon as I pressed the 'reset' button first time, so very easy to use!

and it is the one below
