Brilliant game! But be prepared, the difficulty curve for this game even on Normal setting is pretty high. Its much harder than Witcher 1 and you will find yourself dieing countless times until you get a hang of it. I ordered the collectors edition and was really pleased. This one comes with quite a bit of stuff too at a decent price.

Great price, great game! It'll be a shame if this sells poorly... first AAA title I've seen in ages made specifically for the PC that is actually really god damn awesome.
Needs a beast of a rig to run it decently though!

"specifically for the PC" - Console port is planned so the user interface is already targeted at consoles and suffers badly from it. Very little use of the mouse as a pointer. Apart from a couple of annoyances I loved the original but this sequel has enough really annoying gameplay 'features' that I quickly grew to hate it and can't stand to play it through even once.

I was surprised and disappointed. Good price but with hindsight I wouldn't have bought it if it were free.

How about Shogun 2? I would also argue that Portal 2 was made specifically for the PC, it just happened to be ported to the consoles as well. The PC version was not dumbed down at all, and the PC was the primary development platform.

But yes, I take your point that there aren't nearly enough PC-focused titles these days. The consoles are holding back the industry, which is most annoying. Roll on Battlefield 3 and Skyrim - those should really push PC tech!

Portal 2, really?! Still DX 9, Source engine is starting to look really dated, "Please do not turn off your console" message when saving (before it was patched).

Actually Portal 2 is a prime example of how consoles are holding back the progression of visuals IMO...

Skyrim is being developed with consoles as the primary platform. I can't remember where I seen it but an inverview with Todd said something about how the vast majority of the Elder Scrolls playerbase is situated on consoles so they are developing Skyrim to be better suited to them.

I guess that's the reason why Skyrim doesn't support DirectX11.

I hope modding is still possible with Skyrim despite the console focus :(

Good price, heat added. I paid £24.99 pre-order from Game with an extra DLC code and I was pleased at that price, nice find! About time we had some decent RPG's out there. Graphics are lovely (although I do have an Nvidia 580 so it should be!)
