Best game of this generation as far as I'm concerned, brilliant main story, excellent DLC that is actually worthy of extra money. Easily 100+ hours of content. Beautiful graphics and runs very well on both consoles.

Buy it on PC if you have a suitable spec for £23 (less 5% code) and play it how it was supposed to be played, visuals are so much better!

I can't speak for consoles, but the optimisation is poor on PC. It looks great I agree, but it's up and down performance-wise.

EDIT: Personally I'd stay well away from CDKeys. They are not a licensed seller and I can only imagine with that price, that they get their keys through illegitimate means like G2A. Developers and online retailers do not support 3rd party resellers and I have heard of people getting their Steam accounts banned because of purchases through G2A. CDKeys isn't G2A obviously, but I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them.

EDIT 2.0: This is from their own website. Bearing in mind that Steam outright forbid illegitimate purchases in other regions

"Why are your products so cheap? Our management team have over thirty years of combined experience within the industry with an extensive network of suppliers and contacts from which to source products. We buy from all corners of the globe to ensure the cheapest possible prices and as we only sell products in digital form we're able to make significant savings on postage and related expenses - we then pass these reductions on to you, which ensures our pricing is the most competitive around!"

Been using CD-Keys for years for XBOX/PSN and Steam keys, no problems. No need for the scaremongering.

Good price for the PS4 copy but I'll be getting on PC for £23.

CD-Keys has been going for years and nobody has ever been banned for using them therefore you are scaremongering. ;)

There is nothing at all wrong with CDKeys - comparing them to G2A is laughable.

As for the deal, personally for the sake of 14p I'd go with 365games and get £1.65 of PlayerPoints.

1) I have no evidence to suggest anyone has been banned, but equally you ave no evidence to put forward the opposite
2) The bottom line is: they are not an authorised reseller. If anyone wnats to use them, go ahead, but sooner or later I can only see someone getting burnt by this

Bit of an exaggeration really. I played first hand this game on console and pc maxed out and they don't look that different. What would look very different would be how it this game looked at its first reveal before the downgrade.

Having missed out on the first two Witcher games, I couldn't wait for this. Truly exceptional in nearly every way. As far as I'm concerned, it hasn't been bettered yet this generation. If you've not played it yet, don't hesitate, this goty edition is a steal at under £35 - well over 100hrs of brilliance!
#22
ordered this about a month ago at full price with Base and because the game has been delayed buy a few days they have bought the price down as good will by about £3. That was nice of them...

I have this on XB1 and have played it 1440p on PC and it looks hugely different, for one draw distances are notable.

If you play on a freesync or gsync monitor you also won't notice any tearing regardless of how well optimised you feel it is.

Go look at DF comparisons, plus 30% cheaper.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - the Digital Foundry verdict

Overall, CD Projekt Red's legacy as a developer is deeply entrenched in PC, and to a great extent it shows in this version's extras. Everything from hair physics to broader draw distances make it a cut above console - a sharper, richer-looking release that also benefits from superior textures and effects. The ability to hit and hold 60fps is, to our minds, the PC's best advantage though. Even with its camera stutters, combat is far more responsive than the console's circa-30fps, and on limited GPUs we'd gladly give up the above visual extras up for it.

That said, Geralt's latest chapter is still very approachable on consoles. It's a visuals-over-performance setup that means both PS4 and Xbox One get a density to world detail that's rarely seen on console. And outside of the resolution divide (favouring Sony's platform at a true 1920x1080) core graphics settings are matched between the two, mostly borrowing from PC's medium and high presets. Performance is also a sticking point; PS4 is preferable in this case for its 30fps cap, though it suffers from some stutter, while Xbox One's uncapped frame-rate gives us far less consistent experience. We're still hoping for that optional 30fps cap option on the Microsoft platform.

Having played all three versions extensively this week, it must be said PC is a must for its extras, as well as for its solid, multi-threaded optimisation across all setups tested. On the console front, as of update 1.01 the PS4 version is king thanks to a cleaner 1080p image and slightly smoother frame-pacing - though we hope its hitches are addressed soon in a patch. In launching across three platforms at once The Witcher 3 is a highly ambitious objective for the developer, but CD Projekt Red proves here that it has the mettle for current-gen development - whether it returns us to Novigrad next time, or takes us somewhere entirely new.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2015-the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-face-off

TLDR, If you have even a modest PC you would be daft to buy it on console. With a high end rig, there's no other option, PC is just better.

Like I said even with them babbling all this what I saw with my own eyes it wasn't as stark a difference as you and the article try to say. Sure if you compare side by side and focus your eyes on a still screen you can see a difference but not that huge. I have it on ps4 while my bro has it on pc to me it will only be a big difference if it had what they showed at the 2013 reveal trailer visuals then that would be great. The current graphics maxed out on pc differences when you play look similar to each other to console gameplay

In launching across three platforms at once The Witcher 3 is a highly ambitious objective for the developer, but CD Projekt Red proves here that it has the mettle for current-gen development - whether it returns us to Novigrad next time, or takes us somewhere entirely new.http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2015-the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-face-off
TLDR, If you have even a modest PC you would be daft to buy it on console.

Get yourself down to Specsavers mate.

The greatest game of this generation. A wonderful, expansive world. I've got the original title and both DLC packs and It's the bets money I've ever spent. Pick this up and don't be disappointed :)

Buy it on PC if you have a suitable spec for £23 (less 5% code) and play it how it was supposed to be played, visuals are so much better!http://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-goty-pc-gog-cd-key

This is a console thread so no PC Master Race comments are needed. Much like I don't go on PC threads saying get a console!

No mate, it's a deal site.

If you have a PC and a console, saving 30% on a better experience makes sense, doesn't it?

Tempted to buy this today, £19.99 on PSN, also has the DLC for £19.99... though if you buy them both together as a bundle it inexplicably costs £5 more!

Eh? Cdkeys are fine.

This is a deal website. I own both a PC and PS4 so it's good to read through people's opinions as to what experience is better value for money.

You contribute zero so go away...

Fair comment if it applies to you. I apologise, I have re-read your comment and it does seem reasonable. Ignore my comment.

Thanks for reminding me it's a deal site... I forget posting 239 deals makes me a non contributer. As mentioned in another reply. I can appreciate if you own both. Maybe I made a childish comment. Think I had just woken up. I can admit my mistakes though.
