I'd imagine this is a great game, for those with no life.

Says someone whose name on the internet is "milf hunter".

If someone finds the golden goose tell me

I liked your comment by mistake, fat fingers on the phone screen.
Its amazing how the massively overused "Wild goose chase" has been morphed into several other phrases that bear no relevance.

In recent times I've seen the following beauties.
A wild goose hunt
A wild duck chase
A wild duck hunt
And other bewildering incarnations but the golden goose?

Reminds me of my post from 6 years ago (almost to the day) when someone was banging on about something being so scarce it was like... Wait for it... "Rocky Horse Poo".

l saw this game on a 144hz monitor @ Aria set up on pc, when it came out, and it was jaw dropping, bought the monitor, got GPU to match it and can`t wait to try it.

No it won't as ALL PS4 games are dumped to the HDD during the install.

Same as bloody Xbox, l mean what`s the point, apart from resale, how did the gaming community allows itself to be con into digital, when you still end up downloading to your hard drive, l mean if memory serves me, you buy pc game, download a few, and when you needs to play game, pls insert disc, but now every games worth it`s measure nudges installation 30/40GB, and Microsoft/PlayStation keeps pushing 500GB as standard drive and you want`s more? You got to pay Mega extra, and to punish us further, you can`t install your own drive, Why? cos we can`t, now IF.:( Donald Trump issues an Executive order prohibiting all this nonsense, l will be at Heathrow welcoming him.
PS, although l will have no family/friends afterwards, but hey what are families, when l`m thrashing through

Sheer luxury, last time I went to asda they one had a Dusty copy of Fifa 2014, and a strange looking chap stood in the isle devouring a cooked chicken.

Bought this GOTY edition digitally a couple of months ago during the sale.

60 + hours in and still nowhere near ending the game or DLC.
Amazing game and gets better the more you play.

bargain even at full RRP imo!

The point is read speed - current gen games aren't going to load quickly or run smoothly from an optical drive. Hard drive read speeds are about 4x the speed of the Blu-Ray drives in the Xbox One and PS4. Also most games are going to get several large updates during their lifespan, which are obviously going to have to be stored and loaded from the HDD.
So just look at it as a case of the game needs to be on HDD but to play it you need to prove you own it, and that can either be a permanent digital license or the presence of a disc in the drive, which at least has the advantage of resale value or being able to borrow games from friends (but not both at the same time - that's how you lose friends!).

And, yes, 500gb isn't very much these days, but they're trying to make the consoles as cheaply as possible and you can easily live with a 500gb HD if you just concentrate on 1-2 games at a time and delete them as you're finished with them. But both Xbox One and PS4 do allow you to install and run games from external USB hard drives now (or you can easily replace the internal one in the PS4) and a 2tb hard drive will cost you less than two new-ish games.

That's why I shared this, so much game for so little! Great developer too, had to add this to the PS4 Pro collection :)

Dono about great developer, they did gimp the **** out of it from the original to pull in the pre-orders.

£15 is about what its worth after what they did.

Nice game but remember to also get a magnifying glass from asda so you can read the ridiculous small font even on large setting and on 50in tv. spoilt this for me really.

£15 is about what its worth after what they did.
That makes zero sense - firstly, don't confuse lots of DLC being released with a 'gimped' base game. The base game has about 50 hours of content, which is more than most games after DLC. Then there was an entire 'season' of DLC (an additional 50 hours of content) released for free to all owners of the game before they made the two paid-for expansion packs (with another 30 hours of content between them). Secondly, even if they did 'gimp' the base game, how would that pull in the pre-orders? The standard incentive is to offer more DLC, not less. Removing content only to add it later as free DLC would make people more likely to wait for a complete edition, such as this, rather than pre-ordering. It seems more like an effort to encourage people to keep coming back to the game to explore the additional content as it was released, and it's a move that CD Projekt Red have been repeatedly praised for.

Oh dear,
1.The point is read speed - current gen games aren't going to load quickly or run smoothly from an optical drive,

So that`s why it take God knows how long for Battlefield to load for start up on EA?

2.Hard drive read speeds are about 4x the speed of the Blu-Ray drives in the Xbox One and PS4. Also most games are going to get several large updates during their lifespan, which are obviously going to have to be stored and loaded from the HDD.

Are you kidding me?2017 and it needs to be stored on the hard drive, so what`s the point of digital.
On another note, not disparaging you, but are you old enough to remember the introduction of compact disc and how it was marketed to replace vinyl? Let me remind you, the most important thing about CD, we were told and it was marketed as due to scrathes on vinyl after years of usage, CD is so sophisticated that it will never scratches, we know how that turns out.

3.And, yes, 500gb isn't very much these days, but they're trying to make the consoles as cheaply as possible

LOL
4.if you just concentrate on 1-2 games at a time and delete them as you're finished with them.

Who does that?

5.(or you can easily replace the internal one in the PS4)

Can`t do with Xbox One S.

6. and a 2tb hard drive will cost you less than two new-ish games.

And defeats your argument, so hard drive that cheap, but the manufacturer cannot afford it.

It almost sounds like you're holding reddragon105 personally responsible for the state of modern gaming :D
Battlefield is slow to load as it is, but imagine how much worse it'd be if we were stuck with having to load games from the disc (27MB/s from disc vs 130MB/s or so from HDD). Sony and MS did the right thing by setting the standard that all games had to fully install from disc, but at the same time probably should've gone straight for 1TB as the base spec from the start.
