A lot of Steam games coming our way, Is there a sale on?

Never played any of these games, Is it one of those game where I should start from the beginning, or can I jump into 2 or 3?

The third one isn't due out until next year but no you don't have to have played this one before the second, but it helps. I'd definitely recommend these games, if you're still unsure just check out this IGN review for Witcher 2 since it should help you decide if it's for you.

Anyone played this one recently? Love the second but just worried if this dated or not.

I've had this game since 2012 sale.. still haven't got rid of it.

Not bad price at all. What do people want free games think people ask too much of steam.

I bought a while ago for this price, but only started playing it last week. So far, so good! Don't be spoiled on graphics! Good ratings, good story, good gameplay, and a few mods that bring it a little bit more up to date ('Rise of the White Wolf' is a must). I can't comment on whether 2 and 3 are just as good without playing the first one, but I think it'd be silly to miss out on it because it's 'too old' or something.

I got to the second act in this and got bored with all the backtracking. Didn't rate the combat either. Wanted to complete it before the second one, but in the end just went on to the second one which is a masterpiece.

The Witcher games have this terrible and silly habit of releasing the game then a few months later releasing "The ENHANCED Edition" of the same game. So basically you just don't bother buying the game when it's released, wait a few months after each game comes out, and then the Enhanced Edition will come out. Not THE best sales strategy ever.....

In their defence they offer the updates for free. Anyone who bought the original version now has the enhanced version

You do realise the enhanced edition is a free update to everyone who owns it lol? You quite clearly don't have a clue what you're talking about- might be worth actually owning the game and playing it before slanting it next time ;)

CD Projekt are some of the best developers around for giving their fans extra stuff- Free updates, great games, no DRM etc..they're fantastic

Bought full price, the whole franchise is worth grabbing even at full price. At this price with the number of hours of game play you'd be silly to not give it a go!

@Elevation I've always gotten the enhanced editions free but that is moot as this IS the latest patched enhanced mega funky cool version!

Great price !! And plenty of hours of gameplay as others have said
Heat added ;)

Starts off very difficult but don't let that stop you- after 3/4 hours gameplay you'll be hooked. Like game of thrones, takes around 5 episodes to understand what's going on then you love it

I've just bought it, but I'm wary about installing a mod that promises to make the game "unrecognisable". Graphical updates are one thing, but it sounds like it takes away from playing the game as intended.
