Nope, sadly.

Can't believe this isn't hotter. £3 for a top game (with no DRM to mess up your system) that will give many hours of play. A fantastic deal.
#6
This also appears to have an exclusive calendar?

Yes, and the sequel will be DRM free as well, if you order it from GOG. These guys deserve to do well.

Great game, great price.

Unbelievable deal :o heated.

great game, great price and though i dunno why you would want this on steam (this is final patched version, no multiplayer) i'm sure it will be at least a fiver there too soon
#11
not played it, always wanted to. Will buy
#12
Awesome game. It was always a good game but it was continually improved with patches, removing bugs and drastically reducing loading times and increasing performance, culminating in the fantastic Enhanced Edition. Everyone should buy it, you won't regret it.

Quality!!

Excellent game - and I've only reached Chaper 2!!!

For those that like playing story-based RPGs like Betrayal at Krondor, Return to Krondor where there are sufficient cut scenes and music ambience to help you feel absorbed in the game, this game is for you. (Note: Don't get me wrong, its not turn-based combat, but its great storytelling).

Even most modern RPGs, whilst they have a good cut scene at the start and possibly at the end and at each chapter, its all text reading otherwise.

the best sorty on a RPG ever. great gameplay too. get it

If you get it, stick with it. It starts off really slow, especially the swamps section. Stick with it though and the world and characters really shine. My most favourite rpg, even above the likes of Dragon Age and the Elder Scrolls series.

The last enjoyable RPG I played on the PC was Diablo (the original). Would I get along with this?

Diablo wasn't really a RPG. Great game though.

Try Torchlight if you loved Diablo.

The deal is live, my huge download has begun.....
Have some heat from me

Bought and heated. Support a great game, great team, great promo and great distribution service for a minuscule amount of cash.

Also bought and looking at an 8.5gb download!
#22
Amazing deal. Thanks OP.

Bought it - remember to buy on PayPal if your bank charges you for currency conversion. (I didn't - hit me with a £1.50 charge, for a £3 game!)

Downloading! Sweet, can't wait to play it.
#25
Cheers dude - White hot - downloading now

hmmm
massive variation in framerates within the game
even the opening scene after starting new game its say 50fps but when the cart is on screen or the castle its under 10. turned all graphics options down and its still really low at points.
then out of cutscene it seems ok but 20-100+fps.
not very stable at all.
is there some reason for cutscenes to apparently render each time? just for sort of continuity of graphical quality?
as game runs better than cutscenes for me would be nice if they had just played a recording of a high quality rendered scene.
bleh!
looks good though.

I accidentally clicked on expire button. How do I undo it?

takes 3 or so people to do it so i wouldn't worry as long as it doesn't show as expired - its just an early click for when it does expire :)

I got this game on steam a while back for £6.49 so this is a scorching deal. I'll still get it if it's DRM-free like retail version. Can anyone confirm that?
#30
Excellent price. The GOG downloader is also getting 50% faster d/l speeds than Steam ever has for me so two thumbs up for the site.

they say ALL games there are drm-free.
heres a reply to something on their form too to confirm:
"The official answer from gog support was this:

Publisher of The Witcher (CD Projekt) decided that, since our games are DRM free, there is no need to include a CD-key in our version of the game and did not provide us with any keys. Registration does not bring any benefits so you are not losing anything. Happy gaming :)"

re: that quote apparently you cant download saves or something from the site - no idea.

not sure was any quicker than steam for me but wasn't shabby.

might be bonus content available tonight also for friday 13th according to witcher site?
