Yes, I agree that the picture posted is very misleading - the product picture from the HMV website is this one.........

Yes, it is a slightly different experience to watching with the kids......:p

For those not ITK......have a look here

Or look and listen here and here.......

Definately a feet up and a couple of doobies job (those were the days....!)......or watch it sober and you'll feel pretty out of it by the time you get to the end anyway......:o

Ok that's different but I fail to see the connection with OZ.

i have the exact one from HMV i bought it last year..You do get the postcards...you get a pack inside with reproduction programmes..studio news...campaign book invitation etc all from 1939..The other pack has ten portraits and on-set reproduction photograph postcard type photos...Then also 3 discs in a box...so you do get everything in the picture posted and not just 3 discs..

i remember my english teacher- mr crompton- quoting the line 'we dont need no education' in a literature lesson - he actually understood that waters knew exactly what he had written and what it was getting at - teacher went up in my estimation after that!

people should learn english betterer so they can be more clever like what i am

OK - Great, I stand corrected - nice little set then, for a fiver - ordered one for the missus...... (I'll stick to DSOTR myself ;-) )

mmm. well this was/is 4.99 on amazon for ages. i think i bought mine in june. THAT one didnt come with any of the booklets/poster stuff that is with the region 1 set. this was originally an hmv uk exclusice so i'd like to know if all hmv ones came with the bookets.

9% Quidco

Have ordered, heat and rep added
#16
Ooh, nice. I'd prefer the region 1, as it has an extra short cartoon, but for a fiver I can't complain.
#17
Is this in-store aswell?
#18
i doubt its instore at that price. i havnt come across any really good hmv deal online that is instore as well. great film, though on the dvd alot of the americans tend to love it just a bit too much.
#19
Thanks OP - my friend is a big fan so will love this!!
#20
After all this time the film is still worth watching. Voted hot
#21

Would the DSOTM experience still work with a PAL transfer? PAL DVDs are normally sped-up by 4%, so the British DVD is approximately 4 minutes shorter than the US NTSC release.

the offer has now expired as it was only a 24 hour deal, still good though at 5.99

I'm still waiting. HMV posted 3 things to me last sunday (2nd of December). One disc turned up last thursday and one turned up today, still waiting for Oz.
#31
Has anyone got theirs yet?? 12 days seems a long time even for HMV (since posting).
#32
Does anyone know where this tread is?? I can only find it by searching. Cheers.
#33
I got mine a few days ago.
#34
I am STILL waiting for mine, I had despatched from HMV another dvd 3 days after this one was despatched and received that one within four days, 12 days for this definitely seems like it has got lost...although HMV say you have to wait 14 days before reporting lost. Can't see this one arriving in time for a xmas present now.

Still waiting  They have said the same thing to me, to ring back on Monday as that will be 14 working days so it will be classed as officially lost.

Still around for this great price :)
#38
Brill price, my sister got this a few years ago and paid more than this then!
