Saw this tonight in Tesco, not bad price for Wolf Blass wine. Both white and red at this price, not sure if available online though.
Pic is wrong, its Vintage 2007, not 2006. and its 14%
Mid straw in colour with a vibrant youthful hue. The bouquet is typical of Australian chardonnay with tropical melon and peach characters and subtle oak integration.
The palate is medium weight with rich fruit flavours and a backbone of supporting oak.
The finish is crisp, dry and refreshing.
Background Information: Since arriving in Australia in 1961, Wolf Blass has always used the image of the eaglehawk as a source of pride and inspiration.
In 1966 when Wolf Blass started building his own winery he named it Bilyara, the Aboriginal word for Eaglehawk and to this day the image of the eaglehawk is synonymous with Wolf Blass wines around the world.
The Eaglehawk wines were first released in 1988 and have always represented excellent value for money.
The wines are made by the award winning winemaking team from Wolf Blass in the tradition of quality, varietal character and consistency.
Drinking a few right now :)
