Wolf Blass Presidents Selection Shiraz 2006

Please don't vote this cold because it's not under £3 a bottle for cheap plonk!

This is normally around £13 a bottle and is very nice but at £6.50 a bottle now with Free delivery it's a bargain for somebody wanting to stock up on a few bottles of decent wine for Xmas.

Quite a strong wine ABV wise ....

# Alcohol by volume: 14.5% vol
# Award - Decanter magazine: Silver (2006 vintage)
# Bottle size: 75cl
# Closure type: Screwcap
# Grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon
# Region: Australia
# Style: Full Bodied
# The Licensing Act 2003: It is an offence to purchase or attempt to purchase alcoholic liquor if you are under the age of 18
# Type: Red
# Wine colour: Red
Press quotes
A legendary Aussie red, with bold cassis notes and plenty of muscle, this is a big red for macho wine lovers. Drink it with carnivorous dishes or mature cheeses. At a tenner, it is a fabulous treat. (2005 vintage) Matthew Jukes, Daily Mail, 20 September 2008

Great offer..very tempted. Unfortunately I spent £70 on the Penfolds Bin28 the other week so I'm skint

These are the notes for the Cab Sav, not the Shiraz on offer.

The Shiraz actually has an ABV of 15% !

Its a very good deal - but the headline price should be £78 for 12 bottles as that is the minimum spend for this deal.

Am just having a glass of £3 a bottle Rosemount 'Founders Selection' Shiraz.

You can buy 6 of this and 6 of a cheaper wine if you wish so £78 isn't the minimum spend but I understand what you mean.

H n R for this deal though - ordering a case!

Seems it was a Netto weekend special.

It is back up to £4.50 now although their poster says 'while stocks last'!!
Not as good as the normal Rosemount and Netto claim a RRP of £6.99 a bottle.

I would still pay the £4.50 if there is nothing better I know around

Can't get the £15 off voucher to work..

Thanks for this.

Just ordered 12 bottles.... hic

On quidco's site there is also this code, which is a tenner £10 of your first order.

"Plus use the code 'XXH7F6' to get £10 off your first shop when you spend £50 or more on Wine or Champagne by the case. Valid until 31/12/09"

Will add heat.

Thanks Casey, I went for the same combination and got the same result.
I find it hard to believe they were ever charging £8.54 as a standard price though.

Even better that Tesco screwed up and sent us 2 cases by mistake - makes it my best deal of the year.
