heat added just for the picture ;).

great deal but talking to morrisons staff - its a promo to get people in - once they are gone they are gone and they only have a few pallets per store - our local had nearly sold out at 3pm

My wife got given a bottle of the Chardonnay from a parent at school. It went down the drain as soon as it was opened :)
#5
This is actually really nice wine imo.

Went to Morrisons yesterday to get some bottles of this for Xmas but nothing left. After asking at the customer service it appears there has been a cockup and my nearest store (Leighton Buzzard) has been instructed to make available only 4 cases per day (24 bottles) :xso no wonder they had all gone.
Ironically on the 8ft high advert in store it states "only 6 cases per customer", good ploy to get people into the store as I was suckered into doing a 20 mile round trip for nothing.
A positive side to this being my liver will have a healthier xmas:)

Cold - Yellow Label Wolf Blass is only £3.49 a bottle in Home Bargains. Or you can have their premium (I think it may be called "diamond"?) label for £3.99

Unfortunately half of the UK does not have a Home Bargains nearby. This is a great wine and invariably retails around the £8 mark in the likes of Tesco and Sainsbury. Get it while you can...

Yellow Label is normally around 8 quid as mentioned by ladily. When it is reduced, it's usually no lower than £4.99...so voting cold at £3.99 is ridiculous

Oh dear, I had to pick a bottle from a 'selection' (he only had reds!) a rep offered me at work the other day and I picked this (sauvignon) cos he said it was nice. I think every bottle of red I've tried over the years had suffered the same fate as yours so I fear for the Wolf :giggle:

And no I'm not, I'm a lager drinker! ;-)

I was in Morrisons yesterday an bought 20 bottles at £3-99 each of both the Chardonnay and the Cab Sav - There were piles of boxes full of the stuff. Thought \this had already been posted....good stuff though.:santa:

Why is it ridiculous? Yes it's half price in Morrisons (no argument there), but for those that have a Home Bargains nearby, it is CHEAPER there - hence my post. :whistling:

I knew this had been posted before.....They've had this for ages, at least I've been buying it for some time.
Good deal, but and it looks as though some stores have just kept selling it after the last time. Mine has.
Cn't get the full url in though for some reason but posted one month two days ago.

The link you have posted is for the Red Label. This post is for the Yellow Label which is a superior wine !

yellow label is yummy!

Sadly my nearest morrisons is Tiverton and i'm not going there for love nor money (or cheap wine)

The locals are like a cross between the folk in The hills have eyes and Deliverance

have some heat anyway!

Picked up 4 bottles of the red at the Glenrothes shop. There were about a dozen cases out at 9 this morn though no SEL nearby. Just having a swally now. Going down nice. Hic. May have to pop in tomorrow for a top up.

Yup, well spotted and link IS for Red label, but local Morrisons have been selling both since the last promotion at that price.

Still a hot price though - cannot go wrong at this price level. Hence a garage full of the stuff....heh.

Our local Home Bargains doesn't sell wine, so no help there. I suspect this is the best price people can get other than your enlightened town.

I'll be checking my Home bargains tomorrow but I'll be amazed if they have any of this at £3.49!

£5.99 at Morrisons in Bridport, Dorset today. Has this expired?
#23
Good price Morrisons, but just got 2 cases from Tesco ( 24 bottles) and it worked out at £3.14 a bottle and included free delivery, so no need to go into the store. Come on supermarkets, lets have gluggable wine at a swallowable price! We're not talking vintage stuff here, much as I would like to be able to afford it!
