Game is quite decent, and has held its price for some reason. £9.98 is a very good deal. Heat added.

I went into both Game and GameStation yesterday, and for some reason they have reduced the price of the XBox 360 version to £9.98, but not reduced the price of the PS3 version!

Unbelievable Jeff!

Can't go wrong for less than a tenner. I was pleasantly surprised. Single Player lasts a decent amount of time too, unlike some games.

I remember playing one of the original version on the PC circa 1992, using the spacebar to shoot the very 2D nazi's - God I am getting old! MS-DOS Forever!!!!

I had £2.50 of game points + 6% cashback so around £7 delivered got to be a bargain it got decent reviews...

Rhys135: As "Unbelievable Jeff" mentioned, I was also in two stores yesterday evening & spotted this title on the shelves at the same price (£9.98) down from £39.99; you may like to update your thread to take account of this being an online & offline deal.

[I took some images on my iPhone if anybody needs "proof" although I trust my word will be OK :)]

The PS3 version was still stickered at £19.98.

...I'm still playing that version downloaded from the PlayStation Store to my PS3's hard drive! :)

(As I have done on every new gaming platform released since the original version, “Wolfenstein 3D”, & "Spear of Destiny" was available as you mentioned!)

To be fair, the current Wolfenstein game bears no resemblance to the early releases. The franchise has gradually moved away from the core game-play since "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" & "Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory" were released.

The original MS-DOS version (re-coded for the latest console[s]) is still quite remarkable in execution; especially the level of "artificial intelligence" by the enemy. Yes, you can predict where they will go to a degree, but you can get caught out very easily when you become complacent.

Do you have access to an iPhone? The version available from the “App Store” is a good implementation.

PS. "Heat" added to this deal listing.

Seconded. At only £1.19 it's an absolute steal. The touch controls are much better than they have any right to be.
Back on topic, this is a good price for this new version, although I still prefer the original and the xbox's Return To Castle Wolfenstein...

This is a good game. I recently completed it and would highly recommend it.

seriously avoid... nothing like the origional, worse graphics out there and theres better games out there that does everythin this does and more... must i say COD... or BIOSHOCK?

I had this game on the 360 and it is awful. If you like online play , avoid this like the plague, its so laggy and just an inferior product to the other main 1st person shooters.

Can confirm this was £10 instore at Buchannan Galleries branch in Glasgow, its £10 sticker overlapping the £40 one.

Have to say, I enjoyed Charlie Brookers review in his Gameswipe program.

I ordered a new copy online, and they have sent me a preowned one :(
