Only 50p. Hard to describe but..... if you're having corn on the cob these are used to hold them secure. I don't eat corn on the cob there is some problem about buttery fingers or something, the mind boggles :D

50p so a ideal filler item and then giving as a pressie to someone you don't particulary like :-p

I think you mean corn on the cob as opposed to the stuff in a tin..lol

I have amended original post :)
These are what every discerning 'corn on the cob' eater should have.
Thanks very much, making the most of my month's free prime trial!
Do they have an electronic version of these? Something that'll bring the cob close to the mouth ?:-D
Whats wrong with holding the sweetcorn like a baseball bat?

Ace. A genuine Amazon filler rather than the usual marketplace fillers.

Nice spot Polly P
Good find. I lived in the states for six years (Pennsylvania and Delaware) and these were standard kitchen items in every household there - much the same as knives and forks are.

One of my favourite memories is going up into the Apalacians and stopping by a barn. There was a table set out with ears of corn and a bowl with money held down by a rock. You took your corn and placed your money under the rock. Nobody anywhere near to see what y9u were doing - how's that for faith in human nature?

The corn over there is SO much sweeter and nicer than the stuff we get. I think ours must ripen on the boat coming over.

Heat added.

Not all bad, be out by the end of the year.
