Be careful what you are getting. These tress seem bushy and fast growing - and may soon overtake other plants in the garden..https://www.macalester.edu/academics/environmentalstudies/threerivers/studentprojects/envi_194_lsr/Invasive_species/WEBSITE/Buckthorn.html
They also have a lot of berries so would propagate around your area quickly.
Not sure advisable for small gardens...just be careful they are right for you and your area before planting.

I would have hoped experts in this sort of area would've known the plural of 'leaf' isn't 'leafs'... That's an American website, where buckthorn has been introduced and can be fairly invasive (as it grows better than native plants in american climates). However, it is native to Europe, and is actually very beneficial to British wildlife (not least the Brimstone butterfly), and as such shouldn't pose a problem at all over here.

tl,dr; Buckthorn is fine, calm down.

Good deal but shame no fruit trees

You could always sow apple pips and plumstones of course!

great app. heat added
In stealth mode it allows you to secretly identify a tree and then brag to your family your immense wealth of tree knowledge - Ray Mears/Steve Backshall (and that other fella) style :-)
Heat and downloaded.

Tree identifier.....they are the bid woody things growing out the ground!
On a more serious note though, when I was a kid I knew all the trees in our woods by their leaves. Now kids couldn't identify one due to constant gaming and tech toys, really sad. I learnt so much about nature by the cards they put in tea packets. Now you get a plastic toy to bin after 10 minutes play.
You mean Big. Not bid. :P
Yep, ta. ;)

You may not have been typical, though. When I was kid, I knew all the utility boxes and poles in our streets by their colour and outline, but could not confidently identify any tree by any of its features. I wouldn't be surprised if urban kids now are actually better at naming trees than I and my contemporaries were.
Just chew the leaf. Works every time.

Tree party = tea party. Very punny. Heat added!
Thanks :)
I've ordered it, my son attends Forest School and loves it, looking forward to receiving it.
As previously mentioned,p lease don't order if you don't need it, it costs them a great deal of money to produce and send out.
Fabulous if you need one, thanks!

"They have been hugely popular and it seems everyone wants a taste of Nature Detectives! Unfortunately, this means we can’t send a pack to everyone who applied, so they will be posted on a first come, first served basis. We’ll let you know if you’re one of the lucky ones."

They're advertising again on Facebook so I'm guessing they have more pins...
good find op, but unfortunately not working anymore. On the link, it now states that due to the popularity of the badges, they have completely run out... Deal expired, but still voting hot

One of my cancer badges fell off my coat so this'll be a good replacement
If I plant it in the ground, will I get a mighty pin badge in a few decades?
