There's another one too but not sure what it is!

Nothing wrong with a trip to B&M! Other than spending 10 times more than you planned lol Every time I go I come out with lots of things I never even thought of :S

I've been meaning to get some decent knives for ages now! And when I saw these I thought they were made of plastic, the cheap kind you get from poundland! But they're wooden with some kind of coating. I still bought them though and they are good quality! Not amazing, but definitely worth £5, even the original £25 price. You should get some =]

Quality Save have the same stock as Home Bargains if you have one of them near you? I think they're only in the north west, Greater Manchester area, but could be wrong =] I prefer B&M to Home Bargains, but that's because my local one is huge!

Not blunt no, they still cut I just found sharpening them made them a lot sharper

Was there any need to put that so bluntly?

I don't know if it's only me, but I rarely go into B&M - I think it's the disgusting orange/blue sign that conjures up visions of not just cheap, but also nasty. The sign looks more like a can of Sunkist or some cheap soap powder pack! I have been in a few times and my general impression was borne out.

The other thing is I can't look at this store name without replacing the & with DS - must just be the way my mind works :)

Another shop that has the same effect on me is Matalan, although there I don’t conjure in sadomasochistic connotations.

I cannot understnad anyone, who will pay anything for low quality kitchen knives. They are as good as useless. Even at £4.99 i would struglle to even think of someone who would like this as a gift.

Well seeing as 99% of people don't pay a lot of money for knives, I don't see the need to buy expensive ones if these do the job that they were made to do, far from useless, useless would mean they can't cut anything, and they do cut, very easily without much pressure. This is hot uk deals.. not john lewis, and for £5 they are fantastic.

I'd agree if it wasn't brand items, most of the things can be bought elsewhere for a heavier price, my local B&M is quite nice, and is prety much the same as Wilkinsons, though the Oldham one is horrible. I guess it depends where you live and whether you like bargains or not. I agree about the logo though lol

there is one in ferryhill, durham although thats a trek for you (not for me, i live 2 mins away now lol).

ive been in there a few times, grabbed some cheap stuff for my new place and the hdmi cable when it was £1.99

one thing i dont like about the place is they dont have chip + pin - so either pay cash or have to sign the paper, and of course none of my cards have my sig on them anymore as i never need to do that normally.

id get these knives if i didnt already have some, although it was a cheap £3 block from asda - but since i rarely use them im not bothered about quality. i dont cook, just use them to ***** micromeal lids - ah the joys of single living.

wow i cant say p-rick without being censored lol.

plenty of these in the southport store, the checkout woman asked if I was going to stab anybody :)

cheap tat, spend a tenner and buy a proper knife instead that will last a lifetime and be razor sharp
#27
you could KILL someone with these

I find it irresponsible for shops to sell such items

a knifes a knife, they all do the same thing as long as they cut :-D
I like how people comment saying cheap tat but haven't even tried them! I was surprised by the quality, they will do the majority of people fine, including me and I'm always cooking.

There is a huge one at newcastle retail park (at the end of Chilingham road, next to where the huge woolies was).

There is also another one in Battle Hill and another in Blaydon (i think)
